Sony has confirmed that Marvel's Wolverine and Intergalactic won't launch this fiscal year. This year's Business Segment Presentation and Fireside Chat listed both titles under "Upcoming" for its annual tentpole single-player releases.

Sucker Punch Productions' Ghost of Yōtei and Kojima Productions' Death Stranding 2: On the Beach are listed as this year's major releases, both launching before March 31st, 2026. Granted, it doesn't outright confirm when Intergalactic or Marvel's Wolverine will launch, so even launching in fiscal year 2027 isn't a guarantee.

Zero interest in Wolverine that is gonna be just a violent version of Spiderman, but the Wokegalactic can be aight. Haven't thrown this one out the balcony yet because of the main character. Gotta see how the actual gameplay and the world is.

That's 9 months away so that's a ridiculous expectation.

Insomniac and Naughty Dog have moved away from revealing games years in advance, so I expect both to release in 2026.

drop that gaas initiative then you can pump out these games faster with the extra resources.

I wonder what happened to Wolverine, I hope they learned some lessons from the fan reaction to the leaked material and started from scratch again.

A lot of 3rd party Devs have moved away from revealing games years in advance too....and are on their 3/4/5 title this gen

GTA 6 is going to suck the air out of 2026... Intergalatic could be released at the end of 26 but I feel like it's a 2027 title.

Wolverine to me feels like it's in development hell and could easily end up being cancelled.

The leaks literally said fall 2026 was the target for wolverine and i have been scratching my head why everyone has cried "development hell" when this was easy info to find.

Gaf rejected Wonder Woman because nobody asked for it, without seeing any gameplay.
Gaf rejected Black Panther because racist directors, without seeing any gameplay.
Gaf now rejects AAA Wolverine game, without seeing any gameplay. (2 years old leaks not withstanding from a developer with almost perfect record)

Did I miss the memo. People dislike Wolverine now ?

Who would have thought that PS5 would have had no games apart from Spiderman, Ratchet and Clank, a remake of Demon's Souls, Stellar Blade (1 real actual game that isn't just a sequel), and Returnal.

Astro Bot is something also I guess.

PS3 was a much, much better time.

I could never imagine saying this last gen for a game coming from NaughtyDog and Insomniac, but i have zero interest in both games from what i saw so far.

If I had to predict, Naughty Dog's game is going to have mmehhh gameplay but visually look comparable to GTA 6 in quality.

The story is going to be divisive, it'll be praised by those middle aged bald guys at Digital Foundry and Alex will nitpick and be like "but on PC it could look way way way better".

And Insomniac is just the same IPs, no real new ideas. Wolverine is probably going to be a decent action game but I've already seen enough of Wolverine over the years. I guess nice for those who wanted a videogame adaptation of it -- but I do prefer new ideas.

I know this is all subjective and personal opinion, but when was the last time ND had a game with 'meh' gameplay in your opinion?

Moved away..? Your statements contradict, a release within 9 months is ridiculous statement, but the games releasing after 9 months would mean they were announced YEARS in advance.

Last of Us 2 was released 3.5 years after the reveal, that's what I meant by "years".

The Last of Us 1
Ok, like I said, your opinion, but that was a game that's now 12 years old, so you could say that they have improved their gameplay since then.

But around that game you also had the Uncharted games, would you say all of those (except maybe the first one which wasnt perfect) have great gameplay?

I say this because I could see Intergalactic being an amalgamation of the Uncharted and Last of Us games, an Uncharted in space with more melee.

I think the Intergalactic reveal was pushed forward a little, I think they would have preferred a reveal more around now or even the next game awards rather than the game awards last year. Just my opinion though.
