7 years to play the game as some bald cunt?
No thanks.
No thanks.
PS5 was going to be 2 titles, TLOU Online 2 (which would have been gaas) and Intergalactic.Naughty Dog's output has slowed down to almost nothing.
PS1: 4 games
PS2: 4 games
PS3: 4 games (5 if you count Left Behind as a separate title)
PS4: 3 games
PS5: 1 game in 2027
And maybe TLoU3 as a cross gen game for PS5/PS6 in 2028/29? Or will that game skip PS5 entirely?
I'm probably in the minority, but I am excited when I see prestigious studios take 6-7 years to develop a single game. When Rockstar, CDPR, And Naughty Dog drop a game, I want something groundbreaking. And Naughty Dog has built up enough good will to do this. The Last of Us and Uncharted are both massive IP'S across both video games and tv/movies.Naughty Dog can't afford to be a one game per generation studio. Especially when it's output is generally single player, narrative heavy third person action.
Of course we will get this in the last year of the PS5, there will be a update for £15/£20 on PS6. Then there will be the remaster for PS6 and PC release which will add some legs. But I held off buying TLoU 2 on PS4 Pro and think I'll be doing the same here.
But I'm not all that fussed really, we haven't seen too much up to now. We've had a slew of space games in the last 3 years or so and I'm approaching saturation without a break. The tease didn't grab me like Uncharted or TLoU so it's just a point of frustration that were not seeing the power houses flex on the dominant platform.
I'll probably lose hours of my life to GTA 6 anyway and I have a backlog so long.....
More like 2.5 games for ps4 what was the full 3rd one?Naughty Dog's output has slowed down to almost nothing.

I don't know if he is right or wrong but it's literally his job to have contacts throughout the industry.I always doubt anyone having info on 2 completely different devs that use different publishers, etc.
Yeah I will try to wait for everything to come to pc next gen.Imagine those 70m have to decide to move on to ps6? that makes it a hard sell for bunch those folks. I think the Ps6 will be treated like the 5090 from Nvidia, for content creators, hobbiests, former master race dudes.
7 years of prime team ND dev time, that will be some srs budget, game gonna need to sell gangbusters to make evenWitcher 4, no, but I thought Intergalactic would be a '26 game.
Started development in 2020, reportedly.
They are embracing their cuckholdityWitcher 4 makes sense, as it started production much later, but jesus christ I don't know what the fuck ND are doing...
2 - You really think Sony is going to shut down Naughty Dog?
It's not even a space game, it apparently all takes place on 1 planet.Naughty Dog can't afford to be a one game per generation studio. Especially when it's output is generally single player, narrative heavy third person action.

This is just wrong.ND games usually come out near the end of a generation. Seems the trend continues.
I can already see the Pro's PSSR 1.5 vs PS6's FSR 4 comparisons.Intergalactic is a PS6 launch title.

1 - You really think Neil Druckmann was the creative director on The Last of Us Online - a multiplayer game - while also writing and directing Intergalctic?
2 - You really think Sony is going to shut down Naughty Dog?
Wise choice, this gen has been a scamSkipping this gen. Almost bite for Silent Hill 2 Remake, but I'll wait for PS6 I think.
PS6 titles
My guess is he is fully aware of how important it for him to generate money for Naughty Dog and Sony, so he's helping on the adaptation of the game he created and working on creating a new IP Sony can exploit(in the good sense of the word).I got the impression that Neil Druckmann is not really aware of how important it is for his career than the new IP becomes a massive success. If he did, he would be fully on it, instead of hanging around with Hollywood people.
I highly doubt a multiplayer game is the grand vision of a guy who's bread and butter is "cinematic narrative games". And of course he had to hype it up, he's the studio head. A lot of people lost their jobs when that project died. My guess is if it was his brain child, he'd either be gone too or be on a much shorter leash. It was Druckmann's grand vision, there are many quotes by him talking about taking MP to next level or something along those lines. Nothing wrong with being ambitious, as long as you set realistic goals and budgets. Obviously, he and PS Studios management are at fault.
With Sony looking to drop Wolverine, Saros, are we surprised that Intergalactic wouldn't drop in 2026? Also more reason to believe the PS6 isn't coming in 2027.
Witcher 4 I understand. They started production late-2024
Intergalactic I don't know. Maybe the same?
