MS gave Sony a boulevard to steal the show, but knwoing the latter ability to screw things up, and given their track record of delivering boring conferences year after year, I expect the worst. Case in point, they intend to show that EA basketball game during their show : I rest my case!
They actually intend to show the 2K basketball game, which is the best sports game out there. MAYBE next to The Show.
They showed like a 20 second story trailer and said we'll see new gameplay at the conference tonight.

Give a price incentive to make the move early, because $500, plus tax and at least one game @ $60.00 is just too much. Sony has a golden opportunity to run away with all of the good will and positive press. But if it's over $399, then I think I'll be riding out this gen for a bit. There are still plenty of great games coming that give me all the more reason to keep enjoying what I have.

Yeah i understand he wants to widen the MGS audience but MGS is a playstation game. He even said this himself. The sales will lean towards PS3/4 anyway.
But, his game his money he can do whatever the hell he wants with it. I'll still be playing. The game looks TOO good.

They used to take steps to prevent this here. Like disabling the OT section and such. That MS conference was BRUTAL. Probably one of the worst since I've been in member in terms of GAF performance.

I've got my eyes on every possible pre-order outlet. Do we need a thread for pre-order info.
GS would be the quickest, Amazon would be the most likely to get and Best Buy would be the best since I have credit there but I feel like it's the least likely to get a preorder and actually pick it up.

I'm both extremely excited and terrified at the same time for the Sony conference.
They could have the best games, but make a shitty conference with long, meaningless speeches and shit that simply doesn't make sense
I already have a bad feeling with them showing demos for games we already seen (Killzone, Knack), and showing an NBA title and while I'm excited for Destiny, I have a feeling that demo will be way too long

there is ZERO wrong with showing demos for stuff we have seen a bit of already, these are launch titles. If you're not gonna pimp your launch lineup you might as well pack it up and go home.

It's 12:10 here now (GMT + 2). I'm sitting at my PC with a huge icepack around my face having just had my wisdom teeth removed a few hours ago. Thought it was 4hrs time. Would have been bummed to miss it
I actually want to relax in bed with my tab but i fear the pain meds might knock me out before the show starts and my alarm might wake up the rest of the house and not me

In terms of Western publishers?
Ubisoft (kind of expected?), Take Two (2K is there, will we also see Rockstar with GTA/Agent?)...... wait, Bethesda? It will be weird seeing them there considering their close relationship with Microsoft this gen and the rumors of Fallout 4 being Xbox exclusive (which turned out to be wrong, at least for the moment)
I guess anything is possible.

MS spent a shit load of money just getting the exclusives. They knew they had to do it.
Honestly though, I think the DAY ONE Acheivement is going to sell more Xbones than any game.
