Sony open up M2 SSD port to beta testers of system software

Not sure allowing game installs across multiple drives will ever be allowed, and for good reason.
Oh the OS can still see the two devices as separate and ensure single titles remain on the same device... just hide that information from me the user and tell me total storage size. Easy.

You thinking this is in any way analogous to 1984 is unbelievably hilarious though. Thank you for making me laugh so hard this morning.
lmao is it? 🤣🤣🤣 Your a apologist. To the core. The thought you think over 9 months later and this "feature" of unlocking memory access is still not available and its ok says everything.

Fuck the gym/ i see how you built.

That feature is kind of a game changer though
No doubt. I play primarily on PC because for me, performance was always king. It's only now that I am seeing console owners clamoring for a fix to tearing and pushing for 60fps. Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of them, it all just sorta hit at the same time which is what I found surprising.

Hey guys. The WD Black SN850 1TB is currently at $165 on Amazon; Is it a good deal or can I expect a bigger drop on Black Friday?
The 500gb is $89.99
I didn't see anything on these drives dropping on BF but I wouldn't be surprised with $79.99 and $149.99

Without. I'll get a heatsink separately which is much cheaper.

I'm afraid of waiting and either running out of stock or increasing in price again. I think I'll get it.
I have the same one. Possible you get it cheaper later, but I wouldn't chance passing up what is already a good price (I paid 199 in summer). There might be a rush on those things for holiday gifts.

So I just bought the SN850 and I was wondering if I should plug it in my PC first to update its firmware and then put it on PS5. What did you do with yours?

I installed the drive on my PC and updated the firmware and after that installed the drive into my PS5. Don't know If this makes a difference because who knows If the NVME stays on the newest firmware after the process.

Wasn't the Samsung drive the only one that needed the update?

Awesome! Come down to $99 next.

Plenty of 1TB SSD can be had for 100 or near 100.
