Yeah, PS5 will be BC.
so regarding the Game Monkey King: Hero Is Back
while it is co-developed by Sony, they don't publish the game & most importantly don't own the IP. (So not really a First Party Game)
So i can't really put it in the First Party/Second Party Section.
I just add it to the other chinese Projects if you guys don't mind
Good point. Yeah, that makes the most sense.
I guess now we must update Matterfall and Lost Legacy. Next two weeks, Everybody's Golf and Knack 2 will have to be added to current games.
You'll be busy for a few weeks. =P

Not remaster but PS5 patch support for sure (paid from some Devs who knows), also with it being BC it can also play all the Pro patched PS4 games on it too which is nice, at least it should maybe we'll seeI think PS5 will see late gen PS4 remasters. Example Last of Us 2, Death Stranding in 4k/60
But agree if the PS5 plays PS4 titles, remasters will be rare.
Sure, I can see that happen. It will be for sure, Sony received way to much bad press on the PS3->PS4 compatibility. Doesn't mean we wont see Ultimate/Remastered 4k versions of some classic PS4 titles on PS5.
indeed ^^ also there should be Sonys Asia/Japan Conference very soon
hmmm, IDK man. Those China Hero Project games have nothing to do with first party (some of them are even out already on other platforms), while this one does have some connection to SIE WWS.
I still think that Oasis is publishing because of some chinese property law they need a Chinese company behind it (something similar happens with movies), but its just a guess
Oasis Games announced they're handling worldwide distribution, not just Chinese distribution, and as far as I'm aware, that doesn't happen with movies. Add to that the fact that Oasis has already published a few PSN/PSVR games in the west and it's a licensed property and I wouldn't really doubt what Oasis Games are saying.
Without any further clarifications, Sony's involvement in this game seems pretty minimal. They've said SIE are developing it but there's been no mention of Japan Studio or anything. The only developer specifically named is Hexa Drive. So my take is Hexa Drive are developing it and Oasis Games gave Sony a bucket full of money to help supervise development of their first attempt at a AAA game.
yeah, sure its a unique and still unclear situation
maybe it is better to hold judgement of what this really is for now
Eh they specially mention it being developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment and Hexa Drive several times now.Oasis Games announced they're handling worldwide distribution, not just Chinese distribution, and as far as I'm aware, that doesn't happen with movies. TLL pretty much proves ND are among the few devs who has a hyper-speed definition of a "long wait."
If anything, I wouldn't be surprised anymore if TLOU2 is next year.
All the uncharted were what two years apart and the last of us ,2 years(3?) after uncharted 3. They're damn good I now expect longer gaps obviously because these games are starting to get time consumingI'm thinking late 2018 is a possibility, but it'll more than likely be an early to mid 2019 game
This idea that ND takes forever to release games is so frustratingly wrong. It all started when they had to delay UC4 a couple of times, which was clearly a knock on effect caused by the directorial change. Outside of that, they've shown themselves to be an incredibly efficient development studio.
I'd say co-developed means co-developed.That's kinda my point. "Sony Interactive Entertainment" isn't a game developer, it's a publisher. And "co-developed" doesn't actually mean co-developed at times (see: Bloodborne).

Do we know if Bruce Straley is back from hiatus?
Mark my words, when he does return it'll be on an all new IP.Do we know if Bruce Straley is back from hiatus?

He's been taking some time off since wrapping up Uncharted 4.What Straley hiatus?
Japan Studio has been the MVP of Worldwide studios this generation.
Gravity Rush 1 and 2, The Last Guardian, Knack 1 and 2, Shadow of the Colossus on the way, they were involved with Bloodborne and Everybody's Golf. Now all of these games aren't for everyone but their output and pretty consistent high quality are undeniable.
Things have seriously turned around there. Hopefully they announce something new at TGS.
When he does I hope he doesn't work with Neil Druckman. Make them work on separate IP'sDo we know if Bruce Straley is back from hiatus?
SIren VR i bet.Wonder what the Gravity Rush/Siren team is working on next...
Eh, semantics. Japan still originally made Gravity Rush 1 (and SOTC) and were still producers on the remasters.Gravity Rush Remastered was done by Bluepoint, who are also developing the Shadow of the Colossus remake.
