I dont see how Wipeout Pure Web Browser that would be any indication, since it was not even close to being official and the game wasnt even supposed to browse the web. It was more exploiting a glitch than anything.

Yes, and videos will be H.264/MPEG-4 AVC format (like UMD video).

It was definitely more than that. It was part of the development libs provided by Sony. Wipeout simply used it for accessing downloadable content.

The TV stuff is accessible via the Web, directly from the PSP.
It's undecided as to whether it will be a pay system or not, but guess what, it allows for micro-transactions as low as 10 yen :lol
