Not good ones.
Heyoooooo.
But hey, props to Nintendo and MS. Especially MS for buying their flashy new and exciting IP's that everyone loves and all is well and everyone is happy and sunshine and rainbows. Thank fuck for MS who are almost singlehandedly saving gaming for all of us.
Barf.
The problem is MS buy IP like Minecraft when they could be using that money to fund internal-developed games.Re: the OP. Not quoting, you all read it.
First of all, you're placing judgement on a game that hasn't even released yet, second you're saying the games are all style over substance yet the knocks against DC is that there is very little flash in the game - that's it's just boring old racing.

The MCC is completely different from what TLoU is. If you want to make a direct comparison, it would be Halo 4 inside the MCC that is the same. H2:A is a complete graphics overhaul more akin to a remake--hardly a simply remaster. Not to mention the campaign playlists and integrated multiplayer from every numbered Halo game."Last gen ports" irrelevant until Halo 2 remaster ships
Honestly the first year of the PS4 is much much better then the first year of the PS3 in my view. I have so many games I need to play.
Just for a reminder. Here are the first year PS3 exclusives for the U.S.
Motorstorm
Uncharted
Heavenly Sword
Ratchet & Clank
Folklore
Warhawk
Eye of Judgement
Lair
I'm not expecting much from a company that has no more cash. After all, software development is EXPENSIVE.
With very limited resources at its disposal, Sony is now banking on the 3rd parties not just for the success of the PS4, but for the survival of the corporation as a whole.
If Microsoft manages to snag exclusivity of all future AAA titles (including NBA 2K and FIFA), Sony will be in big trouble. Heaven forbid.

Sony WWS has been shockingly mediocre so far this gen with regards to AAA titles.
Complete props to Nintendo and MS for putting out worthwhile titles this year which
will no doubt succeed critically and commercially

It's co-developed by Japan Studio which is part of WWS.
Only on PS4?
It is! Co-developed by SCE Japan Studio.
Just like:
Resogun / LBP3 -> Studio XDev Studio
The Order: 1886 / Hohokum / Journey -> Sony Santa Monica Studio

The bolded were great.
And no Resistance? Come on! That was the best year one game for me.

You mean my conversation with him where all I say is "I just realized the Embargo date is the day of release, after the midnight launch. Sony must be embarrassed or not confident in DriveClub if they push the Reviews so far back. Forza Horizon 2's embargo date was a week before release, they were confident of good scores. It's a shitty ordeal that this is standard in the industry now to hold back reviews. The last time this happened was Destiny, and we all know how Gaming's finest 7/10 turned out"I know you're rooting for Driveclub to be bad. I read your embarrassing conversation on twitter with Tim Dog. Jesus fuck, you're something.
The first year is often if not always like that...
And then time goes by and Sony proves gen after gen why they are the best when in comes to games.
Okay, regardless of whatever discussion was happening on that dumb bird site, the bolded cannot be a serious statement. You can't genuinely wonder why one would assume otherwise, right? Once you build a reputation for yourself, you have to live with it.You mean my conversation with him where all I say is "I just realized the Embargo date is the day of release, after the midnight launch. That conversation? The one where I never said anything close to "I hope DriveClub is terrible"? Go ahead and post the conversation if you want here. I didn't miss anything.
Late Embargos are a shitty thing, they allow people who are hyped to buy a product without any feedback/opinions on the game, leading to a burnt out buyers. And usually this is done because the publisher isn't condident in the game, as was the case with Destiny recently.
I want DriveClub to be a fun game, I don't know why you assume I don't.

I realize you are very concerned, but there is an extended demo available for this game for anyone with PS+.
Trying before you buy is much more useful than reading a hundred reviews.
Updated, with Metacritic scores, since overall quality of the output as judged by MC seems to be the OP's intent.Just for a reminder. Here are the first year PS3 exclusives for the U.S.

Heavenly Sword - 79
Ratchet & Clank - 89

Not a whole lot different from the PS4 year 1 so far. 80 average.
Gives some people an opportunity to get in some digs at Driveclub.I am shocked at how many posters are ignoring the PS+ extended demo.

Knack?
KZ: SF?
Drive Club?
Order 1886? (so much negativity around this one, will likely review poorly)
The only one that scored well was I:SS, but even that paled in comparison to other
Infamous games. Then we have TLoU:R, but that's a last gen port.
Personally, Sony so far has become synonymous with the "style over substance" saying,
like we get it: the PS4 is capable of great graphics, but it seems to come at the expense
of compelling/substantial gameplay!

I know we are all entitled to our opinions, but Motorstorm was good at best and Resistance had some good ideas but was very average as a shooter.
Killzone and Resistance may both be mediocre franchises, but at least the latter tried to be fun.
Adjusted accordingly. Thx.He forgot some games
