Spaceworld 2000 Zelda vs. E3 2005 Zelda...FIGHT!

well Aounuma said they are going to clean up the animations before final release.

I was reponding to the guy claiming that Wind Waker looked better than the original demo. I actually kind of agree, as WW had an awesome visual style. However, technically, the demo was ahead. Even with improved animation, the demo will likely remain ahead simply due to a higher framerate and more detailed assets. I hope they clean up the animation, as I must admit, the new Zelda has me VERY excited. The atmosphere and sense of scale looks killer and an actual orchestrated soundtrack REALLY excites me. Music is very important to me.

I found the Spaceworld Zelda to be quite hideous.

The Spaceworld demo doesn't have any bump mapping or anything interesting technically. It does have some shitty harsh lighting and shading.

Everytime I look at this shot my eyes zoom straight to Epona's polygonal arse. It bothers me.

:lol

Thanks for forever ruining that shot

Err, in regards to pre-system tech demos, Sony was the only company that did NOT lie. MS and Nintendo's system demos were never truly matched on the respective consoles (ESPECIALLY MS). Sony's were. They were COMPLETELY accurate and have been outdone with real software. Sony's PSP demos were also accurate. Who's to say that most of their PS3 demos won't be? We'll have to wait and see...

how so? To me, Nintendo's demos were pretty accurate with Gamecube. Luigi was matched by Luigi's Mansion. Star Wars was matched by Rogue Leader/Rebel Strike, Zelda, as shown wasn't exactly matched, but games like TP and RE4 are certainly in the same league. Meowth's Party used what looked like N64 Pokemon models, so that wasn't a stretch. The only that wasn't spot on with a realtime game were Metroid and WaveRace, which IIRC nintendo admitted were prerendered FMV soon after they were released.
