Wario64

works for Gamestop (lol)
http://ps2.ign.com/articles/660/660139p1.html

8.5 Presentation
Great cutscenes, good story, impressive visuals and a slick interface.
8.0 Graphics
Awesome game engine allows for eye-popping combat scenes, nice enviornments and smooth character animation.
8.5 Sound
Cool rock tunes and ambient tracks, plus you get Ares as your own personal cheerleader.
7.5 Gameplay
Terrific action and weapon system marred by a wonky camera, cheap bosses and poor design decisions.
8.0 Lasting Appeal
Lots of unlockable content such as artwork and a full-fledged arena mode.
7.9 OVERALL
(out of 10 / not an average)

Spartan: Total Warrior does so many things right that it genuinely pains us to see the experience get bogged down by a handful of major annoyances. Creative Assembly crafted a marvelous game engine, too, one that affords spectacular encounters filled with more action, blood and “Holy crap did you see that!?” moments than we’d care to mention. It’s therefore unfortunate that the unrefined targeting system, cheap boss battles and generally unhelpful friendly AI make the experience a mixed bag of exhilarating and exasperating moments. Still, Total Warrior is a good (almost great) action game that fans of the genre should definitely considering purchasing.

and again....wtf? ign is run by idiots. there story is a real letdown and really boring. the presentation is underwhelmingn too. the interface remindes more on pc games, thanon "slick" console games.

nah, i dont think so. with the progress in the game, it amazed me more and more. despite the few flaws, this game is a really great experiance.

Damn... I'm so torn on this game... It is a rollercoaster.

I'll hold off on more reviews... 12 hours seems rather short to me for a game like this...

Eh... just read the 1up review and they gave it a 6... bashed it due to a very poor level design on one of the stages, and talked consistantly about controller-throwing cheap A.I.
Looks like it is getting lower scores across the board now.

Not worth 50 bucks in my opinion.. I'll wait for the $20 drop. Too many things to buy with a budget like me...

wait for the drop. Seriously.

Actually, I'll wait for Ninety Nine Nights! :D

It something like that wasn't on the horizon, I probably would have tried out Spartan regardless of the score it got.

erh...wait!

the AI is poor, but hey, the legions in dynasty warriors and co. are even dumber! and you`ve never got more than 15 soldiers on screen! and one (!) mistake in the level design is a big turndown? come on - there are more than enough games out there, which have many poor designed levels"

If I can find this game in the Toys R Us deal when ever I get wind that Resident Evil 4 and Soul Calibur 3 are there, I'll snag it and post impressions despite what I said.

In my mind, the game will be free to me as I would have paid full price for the other 2 titles.

Hopefully they will have it tomorrow. Hopefully this game is fun as just a mindless romp, especially in the bonus arena mode.
