So... apparently the runner Chibi was doing Paper Mario TTYD "WR attempts" using levitate cheats.
Story is developing, but here's the basis:
A new glitch was recently discovered in TTYD which allows Mario to skip almost all of chapter 3. The trick is done by entering an encounter while jumping, and then jumping again as soon as mario exits the encounter. This allows mario to access a ledge he should not be able to access without Yoshi.
Chibi, the "I would appreciate it if you would be quiet" guy, is new to running the game. When the trick was discovered Chibi was supposedly one of the first people to do it on console. Despite Chibi's PB being approximately 90 minutes behind World Record, and the new skip saving only approximately 10-15 minutes, Chibi was ranting on his twitter which he now deleted that he is doing "world record attempts" despite being extremely far off world record.
As it turns out, Chibi was using levitate cheats to extend his jumps while doing the double jump glitch, to ensure that it is successful every time. This is evidenced by higher than normal jump heights, as well as the lack of a jumping noise when doing the double jump, which was simply Mario levitating.
Chibi was confronted by Malleo ( the guy who made the TTYD TAS) and later admitted to cheating both on skype and on twitter.
Chibi's times have been removed from the TTYD leaderboard, and it is being suggested by the community that Chibi be banned from SpeedRunsLive, Speedrun.com, and GDQs.

Apparently people are threatening to SWAT him, and have Doxxed him already over the Paper Mario Cheating.

most of the speedrun community has become awful in the past few years

dude clearly tried to move on and keep streaming when shit happens and people are awful. he's a cheater so who knows if they want to ban him from racing for a little while or whatever but SWAT and doxxing should be illegal

can't speak to doxxing but swatting 100% is illegal. Really really really illegal.

SWAT = calling the police and sent them to a streamer via a fake threat?
Doxxing = DDOS attack on his connection?

If that's the case, the former should be illegal, and I guess laws about the later are either in the works or already exist

doxxing is basically giving out personal (like, the type of info you couldn't find unless you looked hard) info. It's a relatively common way to attack someone via the internet since it basically opens the flood gates to crazy people harassing the person. Pretty fucked up.

So far the runs have been really good, even the messed up Hyper super metroid was fun. Really hyped to see how far AM2R has come, can't wait to play the latest update.

Yeah, there's been a few technical bumps (honestly what marathon doesn't have them) and it was a shame Foosda's Hyper Metroid run didn't go well, but it's been great so far!

Any% is down to 4:03:58 by Chaotic_Ace. He's been streaming regularly trying to improve it, but lots of things can kill the run.

100% is at 7:16:22 by Demoon9. That was totally rerouted by TrogWW but Demoon9 just impulsively decided to improve the record before Trog could take it lol.
