SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME - Official Trailer

IDKFA

I am Become Bilbo Baggins
Apparently
Peter doesn’t want to send the villains back to die and that cube is the key to Strange’s prison.

That's pretty much confirmed in the trailer.

Dr Octopus tells Peter he's fighting ghosts. Strange then comes clean and admits all these villains are fated to die fighting their version of Spider-Man. MCU Peter doesn't want to send them all back to die, so comes into conflict with Strange.

So, not an evil Dr Strange, but one whose morals differ from Spider-Man.

Unless I’m going blind (strong possibility), I didn’t see Maguire or Garfield in this, which is a smart move by Sony/Marvel.

not tag worthy
Saw two different green goblins
Electro
Sandman
Lizard
Doc Oc

also I think there are three spidermen in the trailer. Black suit, red suit and the iron slider suit, the hand at the end getting MJ is from another Spider-Man I think.

Stealing Dr Strange's cube, what an idiot - did no one tell him that with great power comes great responsibility?

Seeing a lot of weirdness in that trailer, Lizard leaping for something below the on-screen spiderman, Oct clearly winning the fight vs MCU Peter but still getting caught. Spiderman isn't fighting alone. It's a shame the speculation sort of ended when that ultra HD 4k video of both Toby and Andrew Garfield on scaffolding set just like the one we've seen in the trailer got leaked, as my guess would have been alternative universe Mary Jane Spiderwoman / Red Sonya coming through the portal.

Sort of disappointed it's going to have another scaffolding finale, Venom 2 already did 20 minutes of that, complete with love interest falling and having to get caught.

Does this mean that J Jonah Jamerson knows about the multiverse?

And can travel through it?

Absolutely. As I said in the other thread, there are (probably) still hundreds of thousands of people who don’t know Maguire and Garfield are in this. Imagine the hype and social media presence that will come after they see the movie.

I dunno. It’s starting to feel a bit like when Warners desperately tried to pretend Superman wasn’t going to come back. But, they certainly don’t need to promote this movie any more than they have.

I'm pretty sure that anybody who is even a causal fan of Marvel films knows Toby and Andrew are in this. It's all over social media and has been for months.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
They confirmed it in Avengers when Banner references the cut suicide attempt ending AND mentioning how he destroyed Harlem.
If I remember correctly that cut suicide attempt was the reason Norton had disagreements with Marvel.
Funny they referenced it in the end.

Just watched the trailer. God fucking damn it looks good.
I wasn't going to watch it but I can't control myself.

Lmao this is the THIRD time that they added so many villains in a Spiderman movie.

Each one has failed spectacularly (SM 3, TAMS 2).

Here's hoping Disney & Marvel whip Sony's ass in line to get this done properly for once.

Other than that, looks hyped AF.

The problem with the previous multi villain Spider-Man films was they focus heavily on one Villain and had the others just a side notes.
With the exception of New Goblin that ran through the whole original trilogy, I don't think you'll have to worry about that with Marvel Studios.
They'll all just be there 😂

Ok, at 2:11, that’s clearly a different goblin, are there twoversions in this one?

I think that is Willem Dafoe. SPOILERS:
His suit and mask get destroyed so he does some modifications. Test photo of some other guy wearing it:

This whole attempt from Sony and Marvel to keep Andrew and Tobey hidden would be smart, if it wasn't for all these reasons:

- We have known for a year and a half about their presences in the film
- We have had multiple co-stars in this film confirm their presences in the film
- We have seen multiple leaks confirming that they're in the film
- In this recent trailer, the Brazilian cut of it literally shows The Lizard being punched by an invisible entity
- In the UK/US/International Cut of this trailer, The Lizard literally leaps at something that you cannot see at all and totally misses Tom Holland's Spider-Man.
- The sets of the scaffolding finale literally are the same as the leaks that went viral worldwide.

I am sure 15% of People probably aren't aware that they're in the film as there's always a minority, but I think this whole big secret spiel has become a mockery.

She’d be older than Peter’s aunt but I’m sure we could still make it work.
Despite what people said about the casts age of the original, Kirsten was only 19 in the original Spider-Man and Tobey was 26.
A year older then Tom is now

Out of curiosity I went around today asking co workers about it. Mix of every type of person here. More woman than men by a few.

2/24 had some idea about other spidermen.

not a huge sample size but thought it was interesting.

Hmm interesting, especially given that Tobey and Andrew have been trending worldwide for weeks and are being asked by every major news channel/journalist about this film and their presence within it.

I didn't ask any other questions or directly ask about them, for the sake of not accidentally ruining the surprise, so its very possible if i said "what about other spidermen" some of them might have been like, oh yeah I heard about that.

But more and more people are not connected to trends and main stream news. I havent turned on main stream news in like a decade, maybe during election night here in the states, so I wouldn't put a ton if weight behind trending and such. But thats just my 2 cents.

Damn.

I thought knowing the leaks already would lessen the impact but even Doc Oct saying "You're not Peter Parker" ... chills.

I'm not ready for this.

I actually think its smart. I think they are in but there is always this a little bit of doubt.

wants to fuck an Asian grill.
Even if they're just in it for the final battle, will be great seeing Tobey in the suit again.

And yeah lots of normies haven't caught on yet. Opening weekend should be tons of fun.

This looks way more epic than I expected. Big CG splooge third act incoming, and I'm totally here for it. I get the feeling that this and Multiverse of Madness are going to be tightly-connected. How do you surpass the Infinity Stones Saga? Crack open the character vault with the multiverse. This film will be fanservice bukkake.

Why do trailers now have previews of the trailer that play before the trailer? I'm talking about the first 4 seconds or so if you are watching it on youtube. This is the dumbest shit that movie studios do these days (Marvel is especially guilty of this).

We now have count downs to trailers, "teasers" are fucking 3 minutes long, and trailers now have shorter trailers that play before you watch the actual trailer of the same trailer to let you know you are about to watch the trailer.

Tag, you're it.
I feel like from the moment Spider-Man was introduced to the MCU, they had no idea what to do with him.

In Civil War, where Tony Stark is haunted by deaths that he and the Avengers indirectly caused because of their supposed irresponsibility, he finds nothing better to do than to recruit a teenager (so not necessarily very trained in responsibilities), and from his first day makes him fight Captain America.
Spidey will never ask himself any moral questions about this situation (not to mention that Stark wanted to reveal his secret identity to the world at the end of Homecoming, thank you asshole to rot the life of a young person who is not prepared for this).

And I feel like the MCU folks were themselves aware of having created the most poorly written Spider-Man of all, and therefore in each Spider-Man film where in principle he should be solo, he will face (or in a duo) other actors much more charismatic than him (Robert Downey Jr, Micheal Keaton, Jake Gyllenhaal and now Benedict Cumberbach), to the point where by the third installment, they hadn't built anything really relevant to Spider-Man, no established universes, no memorable action scenes, and so were forced to dig into anything that had previously walked in the Spider-Man register in the cinema.

What an admission of failure. Spider-Man isn't even the hero of his own trilogy, he's just a stepping stone for other characters.

Oh and yeah, Tobey and Andrew are gonna be there for 5 minutes as expected...
It's cool to get back the old Spider-Man(s), but if it's to bring in the writing quality of the last two movies, I'd rather hope they let them in their own universe.

Also:
"Octopus, pussy haha that's so funny huhuhu"
"go Scooby-Doo this"

It's for the ad, you can't pass the first 5 secondes so they do this.

They probably have data that people are more likely like to watch the full trailer if it has a tease before it.

I'm betting Tobey's Spiderman saves Zendaya when she's falling and that's how he makes his heroic entrance.
Garfield is more likely because TASM2 had a similar scene.
