? how did they change it. he attacks spider-man on the highway wanting his machine back, thinking spider-man has taken it from him. he tries to kill him becuase he constantly is interfering with his plans (and his mind is hostage to the tentacle arms with a singular rage induced purpose).

The best part is we get to see how Marvel top Sony. Marvel made all the Sony characters so much better But we've still got Green Goblin, Sandman, Doc Ock, Electro and Lizard to be properly introduced into the MCU. Then we have Shocker, Scorpion, Kraven, two other Mysterios, Kingpin, Rhino, Chameleon and more. And they brought Venom into the MCU. Oscorp might not exist yet but it can still pop up.

Just saw the movie this afternoon and I’ll say it’s the best Spider-Man film to date.
It has its issues in that there were many dark scenes, the motivations for villains (Sandman in particular) made no sense and the heroes had plot-induced stupidity to add to the crisis but overall the fact it ties up all of the previous films make it great.

Just came back from the theater. Overall, I really liked the movie. There were certain moments that were really poignant. Garfield's Spidey saving MJ got the biggest emotional response from the audience at my screening. Garfield, in particular put on a great performance IMO. Holland also had to put his dramatic chops to the test and I think he did a good job selling those emotional scenes. The couple of minor complaints I had were that some of the humor didn't land and felt overdone. And also I think the CG was not quite up to par in certain scenes.
Curious to see what Feige has in mind for the next trilogy. No doubt a different version of Venom will be involved, given the post credit scene.

I dont know if this has been picked up, I haven’t read the full thread. But I’m thinking the symbiote will seek out Brock in main MCU and he can be played by Hardy. It would join him because of the DNA compatibility issues covered in Venom. Hardy can be Brock in both universes, just like Jameson is the same. The universe works in mysterious ways.
I really enjoyed the film. Excellent nostalgia and Disney on point with their meme game.
Im something I’d a scientist myself actually made me laugh out loud.

Just gotta say. This has one of the greatest scenes, for just how awesome it is to see in it. That I think I have ever scene 
the jump off the Statue of Liberty and swinging round the pose landing
made the hairs on my arms stand up and just blew my mind
I think it works as it tells a new story and moves the mcu forward, but respects and enriches the whole Spider-Man big screen legacy

i liked the last two tom holland ones but its been a few days since i saw NWH imax and i cant get it out of my head, it's so fucking good.
garfield and dafoe really did kill it. all three spideys hanging out was amazing. the flipped origin story blew me away. honestly my fav marvel movie ever.

Watched the movie last night.
While I liked it, I kind of was expecting more to be honest. Tom Holland and the gang drag the film for too damn long.
For me this film proves it once again that I'm watching Spider-kid and not Spider-man.
By now I feel either Tom Holland becomes a more matured Peter Parker or we could just use another actor for the role (which won't happen anytime soon because he is the golden boy Spider-man).
It was nice seeing most villains from other dimensions in (Molina and Defoe were god tier), but it kind of felt a bit disjoint?
Both Spider-man's were damn good too, specially Andrew - I felt Tobey was sometimes a bit off.
And Tom Hardy's Venom being left out of the MCU is a fucking kick in the gut. Talk about wasted potential. They teased something that huge at the end of Venom - Let it be Carnage, just to kill right off in the next Spider-man movie.

I tried going into it blind, but ya it was everywhere. Even some random article from a site I never see popped up on a random newsfeed on a side that mentioned stuff. Was all over. Would have been so much better for it to all be a surprise.

It was a pretty good movie. The story was kinda stupid but it did tie up all the other spiderman films in a nice way. I knew the other two spiderman will show because of the leak. With the memory wipe and the multiverse, this means Tom Holland might not comeback for future films. And if they bring Garfield back, it won't break MCU canon.

I liked the movie but I felt they dumbed down Holland a lot to make the rest look sharper or more experience.
The other part I didn't like was that I felt Strange's help kind of out of character. When watching the trailers I thought it would be Mephisto making a deal but instead we got actual Stephen Strange risking fucking up the multiverse because Peter's life was fucked. I haven't read a lot of Strange in the comics but the few pages I have made me believe Strange would not fuck around and definitely would not let Peter fuck a spell.
Also Tobey's acting was weird. At first I thought he had civ clothing because he was fat for the suit. Glad I was wrong.
Other than that it was a great movie, very entertaining.

Yeah! I guess for this to work but Peter and Stephen had to act like there wasn't any character growth in their previous movies. Peter seemed to be fighting and behaving like a noob, hard to believe a brilliant kid would make so many bad choices. Stephen ran it like if he was just learning about all the power he has.

Was thinking the same. Marvel probably figures it'll retroactively help us digest the fact that Strange did something so carelessly. And it probably will...a little. Still, one of the rougher aspects of NWH.
