Wondering if this game will be well-stocked that I can pick it up without a pre-order.

My interest in it will rose---I've been pretty ambivalent about buying it but I don't want to miss out on it at the ground-level. Took a chance on Codename S.T.E.A.M. which was the same way for me at first, and ended up loving it...but a lot of people didn't and it ended up failing. I don't want that to happen to Splatoon, another Nintendo I.P. won't be allowed to die on my watch!

One question that's cropped up: Do multiple identical clothing buffs stack? My top is +strength and then when it levelled it rolled a further +strength, and I'm not sure if that second buff is wasted.

I don't think it does. I was curious too so I timed myself in recon mode swimming through a long stream of ink with single and double swimming speed items equipped, and the time it took to travel the distance was almost exactly the same.

So like, whenever I catch a glimpse of an enemy running around a corner or know that an enemy's been shooting at me, I immediately go into alert mode and make sure that enemy is dead first. Squids can hide in a variety of ways, and it's no good for me to run off and paint the arena if I get killed and my work is undone anyway.

I'm definitely enjoying the roller more than the other weapons. It just feels so good to steam-roll a nice path of your colour. The Krakk-on variant with the beacon and Kraken is sooo good.

It really throws me off with how the sensitivity for left/right is sooooo low compared to up/down with the tilt. I want to be able to aim everywhere with the tilt and not up/down and use the sick for left right. With sensitivity on +5 the gyro aim is so good but it makes the stick aim too much.

You can outrun it. It doesn't gain a speed increase. In the video, you see the squid guy turning left, so the kraken just went straight for the squid guy.

I do think I'll still grab one, but I'm just wondering about getting one right away or not.
