Here are the average results from my hand-testing of Swim Speed over the length of the training room:
Base: 5.04s
+1 Main Swim Speed: 4.75s (+6% faster)
+2 Main Swim Speed: 4.47s (+13% faster)
+3 Main Swim Speed: 4.32s (+17% faster)
I'm definitely a fan of swim speed; I plan to have at least one primary piece in my builds.

I want to change loadout in the middle of a fight.
I tried a roller in Blackbelly Skatepark once and got locked with it for the entire match. Never again.

lol that's pretty much it. Splat Zones are D-Day chaos. I really need a new strategy. I was losing as much as winning.
I like that you have to adapt instead of changing weapons to fit the situation

Go gyro. Takes time to get used to, but it's the best way to play it.
Speaking of listening to things all day, when is this game going to get an option to make it just sound effects so I can listen to other music while I play it?

I agree. Just force yourself to play with the Gyro on for maybe 3-4 days. If you feel gyro isn't working for you after that, then try the sticks.

I wish the Tinted Shades had a different skill. They're one of my favourite head pieces, but the skill just seems so worthless.

Part of me wonders if this a matter of they knew and how long has this glitch been known for. We are assuming yesterdays reddit post was it but apparently someone made a post the day before that. Who knows if they were even the first.
It is certainly a good thing to remove as it extends the gap between have and have nots considerably.
I wouldn't say it was quite 60fps but I'm no fps person.
It worked on orders from Spyke as well which considering a 3 star gear with one skill unlocked costs 30,000 (if it had 0 unlocked it would be 15,000) was useful.
I think it will better in splat zones if your team is a meat grinder run to their death constantly. You see it slowly auto charges special when you have less active players than the opposing team. Players are considered inactive when they have platted and are respwaning or have disconnected (the description makes it sound like the latter). Remember the skill icon glows when it is in use.
All in all apparently the charge speed is pretty slow anyway. But generally you have less opportunity to ink in splat zones which is why I think any special gaining is welcomed.
Of course I have no idea if it is more efficient than faster special charging or stacks with that.

A last minute thread swap to keep that purple and blue synergy going. Helps that it's also three star'd.

Edit: Yup, you see the two pink lines at the left? Those were me. I was doing stupid bad consistently for a few hours. It wasn't until maybe 4 hours (wait, what? It's been that long!?) ago that my horribad streak became a great streak. I was actually hitting people again. =D
I think Splatoon's got more than enough of what it takes to become a hit. It's just too much fun and things get so frantic in the best ways so quickly. My sisters who have been lapsing out of gaming for years now have all made accounts on the Wii U here just to get in some games. The game is just too much fun and the presentation is ace.
