Are the challenge modes worth buying Amiibo for if you don't really collect them? Are the Splatoon amiibo hard to find (given how Amiibo go, I'm gonna guess yes)? Do you get new equipment from them or anything?

Challenges suck, they just take the single player missions and make you use a certain weapon. They're a slog, and the items you get aren't great other than if you like how they look.

They all come with a set of clothes. The boy and the girl are pretty easy to find, I've been to two gamestops that just have them chilling behind the counter. The squid one is only in the three pack which is hard to get. I haven't played the challenges yet, but they seem to only serve to have some kind of obstacle to overcome to get the clothes, at which point its just a $13 school girl/samurai outfit.

I only own two Amiibo right now. I grabbed Shulk because I adore Xenoblade and there really isn't other merchandise for it and Marth because I knew it was rare. I kind of want to grab the Inkling Girl because I dig the design, but like most amiibo I don't think the content it gives is really worth the $13.

ok im getting some really weird lag its pissing me off

i'll kill someone only to move a bit and then i'll explode saying i got killed by their gun...

same with the inkzooka, I think I dodged it by turning the corner only to explode once again saying I got hit with inkzooka

ugh so annoying

Snipes all the enemies, while team mates flounder uselessly. Kill last hop backs, paints enemy avenue of approach.

Team mates jump back to me, run straight into me, keep running, push me off my perch and into the water.

They all die by the time I get back, we lose control.

You stupid useless bastards. Go around, its not fucking rocket science.

I don't know if you guys have ever used an inkstrike and wiped out the entire enemy team at the same time, but it's absolutely beautiful

Use inkstrike on control point>Use another one about 2-3 seconds after.

Enemies move out of the way of the first one, then jump on the point in a scramble to clean it, right into the second one.

This is what happens when you constantly get matched with players on the other side of the world. Like someone said before, the best teammates you can have are laggy Japanese Rollers.

I have to say, Arowana Mall in Splat Zones is a nightmare. I guess it gives a good reason to play a charger, because anything else isn't gonna survive around there.

Letting players pick the stages themselves might not be much better. Look at Counter-Strike. I have literally never even seen a map that wasn't de_dust2.

Yep. The way the rotation works right now is not great, but having players choose the map by vote doesn't work either. I like the way MK8 does it picking randomly out the votes, but that's also not perfect.

A+ rank is hard to keep, almost lost it after a losing streak, including two d/c. You really should be able to rejoin after a d/c instead of having the match count as a loss for you, while your team is going 3v4 assuming it only affected you. That's really annoying, be it ranked or not.

If you didn't enjoy your time with the mode splatzones on the single-zone maps available earlier today, give the mode another try now. Both of the maps in rotation have two zones, and it makes a world of difference! Matches on the skatepark and the port are long, extremely intense, and there is now a ton of strategy and battling for key spots going on that doesn't happen as much in the single zone maps. Also, the battle isn't as concentrated here as it was with the single splatzone levels, and that gives you much more room to manuever and sneak your way to momentum changing splats.

Edit: I see I'm not alone in this sentiment :lol

Agree on the two zones. Skatepark is still mostly a chaotic deathmatch but Port Mackerel is great because the zones are actually far from each other, that's probably my favorite Splat Zone map because of this. Kind of funny when it's probably the worst map in Turf War.

Or at least open that damn 3rd slot of rotation already.

So just to be sure, a second thread goes up when the thread hits around 400 pages right?

I'll put up a Strawpoll with several of the suggested subtitles later today.

True. Mario Kart 8 technically has 48 tracks.

There might as well be only 5. And this is with the voting system of the game presenting three tracks and people voting from those.

I actually don't mind the current system but I am kind of sick of Port Mackerel.
