Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

One of the most absurd things I've seen done in this game was a team member throwing a sprinkler onto the ceiling over the splat zone on Urchin Underpass and leaving it there. Because the other team had nothing that could consistently reach it to shoot it down, it pretty much just set up an auto win for us.

I was in tears. :lol

Yup, I've accidentally thrown one high up on the poles in the middle of that section. Pretty much stayed there most of the match.

Also, am I the only one who feels
the squid sisters vocals (final boss phase, and credits)
have kind of an Enka vibe to their vocal style?
Dunno, it sounds like the DDR OST to me, although i don't know how Enka sounds at all.

But i can't shake the feeling that the music that plays before the one you mentrioned sounds like Daft Punk, while doing the OST for a TRON movie, got their hands on Retros Metroid Prime OST and threw it in the remix.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I've finally started alternating between the two Aerosprays and I'm looking to invest some time in learning a charger. With regards to the former, the Gold Aerospray's loadout makes the Blackbelly Splat Zones easy mode due to their reduced size. Just make your way to it one of them, place mine in the middle after fully claiming it, then take to the large tower in the middle of both. If you get really lucky, you can actually just chill up there defending both zones ezpz. Best part is, if you suspect someone closing in to get a kill off you, just lay a mine on the ground and take the fall. That tactic has allowed me to get some ridiculous support and revenge KOs leading to one or two less people for the squad to deal with on the ground below.

Most I've gotten was three that way. :lol

Same tactic I use right there..
The tower mine one is also useful on normal turfwars. People fall like flies.

Ranked mode is legit man.
so good when you get a knockout.
best feeling is when you take both splatzones and just push the other team into their spawn. Aaaaaah

Definitely do best with a splattershot or roller. Wanted to get good with the charger and while it helps me on kills I have no earthly idea how anyone claims any territory with it.

It shoots in straight line. So naturally it's best in capturing square shaped areas or just wherever you have plenty of surface going straight forward.¨

That said my primary game plan when playing a Charger is just getting kills and letting my teammates handle the inking.

oh you're one win away from ranking up? here we'll just throw you into this fully japanese lobby good luck

fucking russian lag roulette

Some guy on miiverse asked how old people playing the game were and the majority of people that answered out of 60+ comments said they were over 18. I wonder if that's true for sales too lol.

what does it do, exactly?

What I heard about it specifically is that, normally walking through enemy ink, you move at 15% of your normal speed and take damage over 3 seconds maxing out at 50% of your health. With ink resistance, you move at a whopping 80% of your normal speed and take damage over 6 seconds maxing out at 25% of your health.

In a firefight you will quite often end up standing in enemy ink briefly, since they're shooting at you. This means you can just walk right out of it or through it easily.

Hey Incite, saw you jump into a game I was in! Sorry that I didn't communicate much, I finally got the Aerospray RG today and have been playing around with it a lot. I found it to be quite good! But I have to be way less aggressive with it compared to using the Splattershot Jr. I'm slightly more motivated to just ink and survive so that I can launch as many Inkstrikes as I can per match, rather than actually engaging any enemies. I think I had one match in which I got to launch 4 Inkstrikes, which seems to be pretty good.

I think I did come across one significant weakness for the RG though; absent of Inkstrike, it's so bad for fighting up or over hills. Other weapons aren't so good fighting up hill either, but they can usually fight back with Splat Bombs, Ink Bombs or Suction Bombs. Or let the Seeker go over the hill and crash into an enemy. RG will either need to make do with its dinky attack range and mine that can't be thrown... or charge up an Inkstrike specifically to hit the hill.

Guys...i was going to wait a bit before getting Splatoon but i might be able ti jump in sooner than anticipated. Thinking of getting the eShop version later - just to make sure....all the content announced so far for future updates will be free right ?

Everything that has been announced is free yes, 2 more modes on top of the 2 we have, 8 more maps on top of the 6 we have, and a bunch of weapons too

None of them are particularly mind-blowing, but as Ranked is now live, here are the Splat Zone locations from each map that is included in the Prima Guide.

Alternatively, if anyone wants anything specific posted from the Prima Guide, just let me know and I'll post it on here.
Did the Prima Guide update to include Port Mackeral yet? I know the eGuide is being updated as the new content comes along.

Man i love it when you're dueling with someone and some fucking idiot teammate runs right between you and blocks all your shots, gets splatted, and then the remaining shots path through his dessicated corpse and splats you.

wait, no. opposite. hate. I hate it

got a communication error, Doc, joining back in

I just had an enemy roller pop out of a pool of my team's ink color right in front of me. The lag is real
