Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

I'm 33. Any older gamers on this? It doesn't really matter but I'm just curious. I can't wait until I get off work to play. I actually might leave early lol.

Well yeah, im 38 and having a blast; im at work counting the hours until i can come home and play like crazy tonight.

Stupid question but I pre-ordered this game online at Gamestop. Do I just go to the GS I had it shipped to today and pick it up or wait for some email to give me instructions? The order confirmation email didnt really mention anything specific other than bringing ID and CC.

Look down.

Cheers!

Got an error 118-0516 and cant play online. Can someone help me with this?
Try the standard troubleshooting advice? Log in to your router, enable uPnP, disable any custom port forwarding, power cycle your modem, router, and the Wii u.

It that doesn't work assign a static DHCP IP address to your Wii u MAC address in the router settings and put the Wii U in the DMZ on the router. I wouldn't bother with manual port forwarding as DMZ does everything that it does and better, the only downside of DMZ is that it applies to only one thing on your network at a time.

OT's always give me the same answer so I expect to be persuaded here.

Should I go pick this up? I'm on break for three months, I'm finally home, I have my Wii U sitting as a coaster for other games and collecting dust, I played a whole three games in the Test Fire and while I enjoyed it, the sparce amount of content definitely feels shitty to me.

At the same time, I could use a happy, bright shooter to play since PvZ:GW is just about on death's door.

Should I bite?

Well you have 3 months, and your complaint about lack of content is mitigated by the new content being released every 2 weeks or so (maps, weapons, ect)

Yes. New content every couple weeks and only having two maps at a time in rotation honestly doesn't get old because they're really good.

Yeah, grab this and Witcher 3 so when Witcher 3 battle system make you crazy, you can take a break with this one and let all your frustration out on it XD

They stack?
I thought the direct said no.
Although that would explain the guy having 3 defense shields being a lot harder to kill.

I only tested the swimming speed perk by timing myself swimming through a long stretch of ink, but yeah, I got a roughly 8% increase in speed by equipping a single swim speed item, with second and third items with the same perk granting a smaller speed bonus with each stack.

Plus there's plenty of gear with multiples of the same perk, so it stands to reason that they stack.

Isn't it a bit too early to be coming to that conclusion?

The lack of content/features and map rotation has me hesitant to keep this game, but I have a copy on the way from Amazon and will likely be opening it since there's so much positivity from reviews and early impressions.

How hard to find are the Splatoon Amiibo? The GAF/Twitter hype train has me wanting to run over to Best Buy to get the Splatoon 32gb Wii-U bundle.

38 here. Still waiting for delivery but I'm pretty confident I'll want to play the shit out of that game. Probably in small bursts though. Having a kid is bad for gaming (at least I'll be able to play even if my daughter is around unlike Bloodborne :p

Decided to buy it almost on GAF impressions alone. The fact that it was listed around 30€ helped sweeten the deal.

Yeah, I got a shirt that had exactly the same perk two times, and thought it was shit because of that lol. Good to know they stack.

Splatoon get!

Only have time to try it out a little bit right now though. Already super impressed by the miiverse integration. Now for some turf war!

Perhaps difficult to find an amiibo at a good price, but you don't need amiibo to play the game.

I don't think so. I played all the test fires and 3 hours last night with a rotation happening after 2 hours. The maps didn't get old. I've played the most on saltspray rig and that's my favourite map so far. With new maps being added rapidly after release and the rotation going up to 3 at a time I don't think there's going to be a problem.
