Yep. As much as I love Splatoon, there are just some things that I am at a loss for understanding how it was excluded
Do you mean Skatepark? I have controlled more than few maps from the tower. It's a really good position if you have a good team to back you up. In addition I have a few other decent tactics but better not to give everything away. It's chaotic map to say at least.

Admittedly from my experience I've always found that sweeping in and out of the tower area is for the best since many people gravitate toward it haha.

Holy shit that ranked match was tense
Started out careless, and immediately got splatted three times without a single kill. My team got steamrolled (we had two splat rollers and no snipers, with me as the only support character), and the other team was able to capture the splat zone effortlessly..... Then I quadkilled the enemy team, captured the point with three seconds left on the clock,, and my team teleported to me. We managed to hold it for the entire 100 seconds while spamming booyah at each other. Final score was 14-3.

i was actually thinking about that, and i thought we could have 2 lobbies, one is regular and the other is themed, so on mondays we'd all use rollers and tuesdays would be chargers and stuff like that
Lvl 9s can't play in ranked, and he's using a roller? Who does that in ranked?

Why the hell do ink strikes count AFTER the game is already over? Ugh
If I'm using dual analog that means I have to take my hands off the right stick, though. I know it's a quick press, but I don't have to bother with that now. Moving along that note the motion controls allow you to freely use any of the face buttons while still being able to aim your gun.
Heck, now I can be one of those jumping cunts with gyro if I was so inclined.
Bought this game today, played random matches - I'm now level 13 and my hands hurt. Tried a variety of weapons, the Kraken Roller is a bit OP (a good player can take me down), I've stuck with it for now but I also really enjoy the Blaster and any rapid fire weapons. Also I desperately need new equipment, still stuck with the 1 star gear lol.

You can do the same with grenades. Sprinkler I'm unsure of, but I don't think they continue ti function after time up.

Ink Strikes shouldn't be that OP in Splat Zone. It's super annoying being able to make a huge comeback, get right into overtime, be holding VERY well but 5 seconds to go lose because of a Single Inkstrike. Or at least add an overtime delay (5 seconds-ish) because it's completely bogus.
I love it!
But Level 9s aren't allowed in Splat Zones. Fail.
(However, this is pretty much me, even though I'm terrible at Ranked)
Mate, everyone uses a Roller in Ranked...
...and the best type of Rollers are those Krack-On Rollers who jump around like them fucking Flea Men in Castlevania.
I love them guys so much. Everyone should jump when using the Roller.
Why shouldn't they? The game treats it as a done deal as soon as the player pressed the button, even if you kill him.
PS: all projectiles still count after the buzzer. Throw your sub weapon at the last second!

Almost all my port mackerel splat zones games are constant back and forths. I've only had total dominations like once or twice on that map.
It's not only ink strikes. Bombs, seekers, sprinklers, and other things like that count too.
