Bolded is correct. You mean like the crosshair actually has to be pointed at them? I thought anyone in the line of paint was damaged.
Ink on the ground does damage but can never kill.

I don't want to be blue
That was embarrassing. I could not drop down on you correctly hillsighed
This game has the worst matchmaking I've ever seen. Hai guis... Let's put a bunch of lvl 5s vs lvl 20s... Good luck!
This was my third day with Splatoon. I got home from work early and started racking up a bunch of 1200-point matches. I thought I was figuring things out. Jumped back on a half hour ago and got humiliated in match after match. Guess I was playing the after school crowd before.
Any general tips for a beginner?
Why isn't regional matchmaking an option tho
Seriously guys how do you use this thing
Dogs are cool but Judd is what life's all about.Took the plunge. Decided I like dogs and cats equally, so I joined Team Cat to appease our Great and Generous Overlord, Judd.

Hold the squid button at all times and shoot with a rhythm.
Or you can always throw the disruptor first.![]()
Disruptors are fantastic with it thoughI dunno it doesn't seem to have enough firepower to stand up to..well anything.
Sub is eh, special is too. Doesn't ink fast. Doesn't kill well.
Disruptors are fantastic with it though
Don't know what your problem is
You get 4 shots in more reliably than any other weapon in the gameDoesn't 3 shot kill. You lose every battle up close. Practically.
The first couple of hours of Splatoon were definitely a struggle for me but it was great once I finally got the hang of it. I might have given up on them if I hadn't read about how great they were on GAF. I might have lucked out a bit cause the only shooters I've played for the last couple of years were on PC, so it might have reduced the amount of unlearning I had to do.So I just got this game a week ago, and it's amazing so far. I decided to really give the gyro controls a chance, and I have to say it feels great. I think I might prefer it over the standard dual stick controls that console shooters normally have. I had my boyfriend give the game a try. He started out on the first level of the single player campaign, and maaaaan it was a struggle. I think maybe he was just too set in the way he's always controlled shooters because he was just doing awful. He kept looking at the ground twisting his body around and just couldn't aim and hit anything. I've had several family members try out the gyro controls, and they all seem to get the hang of it pretty well. I kinda wonder if the gyro controls is easier to grasp if you're a beginner to video games because they don't have their own expectations of how a shooter should control. It's kinda like how some people say it's harder to train someone to squat properly when they have to unlearn the way they originally squatted.
Are they planning on raising the level cap from 20 (soon or if ever?) I've tried getting into ranked, it's just not for me. Too much depends on having a good team and luck to truly feel "ranked."

Holy hyperbole man, what the heck is a charger going to do as a kraken into enemy territory by himself. It's a defensive tool, not an offensive one.
