GG red and blue!
I was surprised myself lol.lol jeez Heng!
GGs, and gg to everyone else.Okay, enough for me. too tired. see you tomorrow splat-gaf!
Noobs get paired up with other noobs, right? Just picked up the game and doing some single player, but not started MP yet. Threads in MP heavy games always end up sounding quite intimidating after a while, its all in-talk etc.
As far as we know the matchmaking is all random.Noobs get paired up with other noobs, right? Just picked up the game and doing some single player, but not started MP yet. Threads in MP heavy games always end up sounding quite intimidating after a while, its all in-talk etc.
That's the general idea. It doesn't happen all of the time and the game and universe can decide to let you lose for hours on end, even when you tend to do good. That's an extreme case though. The opposite can also happen.Noobs get paired up with other noobs, right? Just picked up the game and doing some single player, but not started MP yet. I've got a NES Zapper and it's simply to cool for me not to use - though I've noticed that the starting weapon holds quite well in MP!
I would like to learn how to use the roller but alas, I'm horrible with it. But I get owned time after time on MP by some roller geniuses![]()
What if the other team took control of the inkrails when you're in them?
They havent said yet. Once they figure out the matchmaking glitch I guess. Wonder if it will affect Europe too. When has splatfest been rescheduled to?
I'm guessing you'd just fall off the rail. And if they were gonna put them in I'm sure a lot of them would be over bottomless pits.

Hilarious. Point and shoot, duh. =Phow do you use chargers in this game? They seem pretty useless, bad for painting and charging a shot takes way too long
The best way to balance it would be so that it takes at most 200 points of damage to change the color of the line. To allow an inkling the chance to escape, the line wouldn't change immediately, but rather change as if you took a straw that was filled with soda, transferred it to a glass of water, then started drinking. The soda would be replaced by the water in the straw as you're drinking, which would be the same thing happening when the opposing team takes an inkline.

So that's why it's called Octo Valley.
I can agree that it should be more than 1 shot to take over than inkrail, but 200 sounds a bit excessive. Taking an inkrail while someone is on it could probably lead to their death, so it shouldn't take any more damage than an enemy player would before dying.

$3 to 42? DD:
I have the same feeling. I think it marks the end of the "honeymoon phase" that people talked about some weeks ago. Now you don't only play for fun, but also to win (which is also fun). One thing I am noticing is that I'm focusing on painting less than I am focusing on trying to suppress the other team. It actually makes the game a tiny bit less fun, but it's still fun.
Well, an inkling is 100 points of damage, so it really wouldn't take too long to hit 200 points (at max).
At the same time, have you seen how fast these weapons rack up damage? The slowest one are Chargers and Blasters, which can still rack up the damage fairly fast. What if you tried to take back an inkline after the area was clear, jump in it, and have that fast enemy come in and take it back as you're trying to get to the other side? Death by inkline is a bit harsh, unless the ink wasn't immediately changed.
I'm imagining long inklines that take 3-4 seconds to travel through, so maybe you're thinking of shorter ones. I dunno. I agree with 100 points for shorter ones.
Who what now?
Sorry meant 43 to 42 or something like that, wanted to get that in fast before time went up and Iwas kicked out of the serverWho what now?
Sorry fox, I'm not going to stay in that room. A teleporting roller and charger is not fun to play with/against.

That match was so bad for me. I kept trying to kill the rapid blaster.Holy shit that was a amazing match.

I think it would be considered a pretty advanced stage element so a high risk high reward aspect to it seems fair. Plus, unless I'm forgetting some all inkrails are 1-way only, so presumably, unless the inkrail was placed in the center of the map, the enemy would have to first work their way into your base in order to claim it for themselves.
XBX is still day 1 for me.Completely OT but this picture looks so good. I wish I could find a nice Splatoon pic to use

You can travel through inkrails both ways. It's just that there's only one end that you can ink to activate it.
Edit: Oh, so they would be limited to your base?
no grenades or sprinklers on the Custom E-liter though :/Strafe and mash the trigger to paint, covers ground real well.
Utilize grenades to cover stuff while you move around, place sprinklers in high spots on walls while painting elsewhere.
friendly fire, whenWhy is everyone standing in front of me? Jesus it's like their intentionally blocking my shots...
It's too frustrating playing a charger atm. I'm tired of hitting my teammates instead of my target.

Next level hiding spot on Bluefin Depot.
Or you can be a normal person and ink the corner-most block, but that's no fun.
Yea that's what I meant. And while there's no reason they have to be limited to team bases, I'd be surprised if they have any which start in the center of the map, unless it loops around the center or something.
If only... that would be the only way to teach random people not to stand in front of me because giving the enemy a double kill sure as hell isn't doing the job.no grenades or sprinklers on the Custom E-liter though :/
