Run speed is a little slower than the paintbrush, but it splatters a bit more.

It's like the NES-Zapper first sold in America in 1989.

Sub is Sprinkler, Special is the Inkstrike ("Tornado", whichever one that is).

I´ve made an Excel sheet that helps you find the gear combination for a desired set of skills. Select 6 skills, press the button and the sheet will list the most likely gear combinations to get that skill setup. It works by considering the main skill of every piece of gear and the chance to get a skill as a sub depending on the gear brand.

The other variant has either Burst or (please God be a typo) Splat Bombs and Inkzooka. I imagine Octobrushes are the more combat geared of the two types.

Octobrush seems pretty suited to a specialist support role, getting to key areas quickly, dropping a bunch of beacons to bring backup while laying down a load of ink to cut off the enemy advance. Kraken is eh, but honestly the brushes do need a quick panic invincibility button considering just how risky it is going in for an attack. The Octobrush Nouveau is Splat Bomb and Inkzooka though, which fits a more all-round combat role.

Personally I can think of a use for all 4 brushes. Original IB for Turf Wars, Nouveau IB for Tower Control (mines + bubbler? yes please), Octo for Splat Zones and Octo Nouveau for a more rounded combat build.

I'm frustrated because I don't know what gear to run with for the Splatterscopes. :

Try experimenting with 3x damage up mains or something similar to that. It makes charging your shot a joke, although your play style utilizes the range of the charger while the damage ups utilizes the 1 shot capabilities of the charger and gets in close combat. You could go defense up as well as someone stated.

It says it's coming out on Saturday in Japan, so I would assume it'll come out on Friday at 10 PM EDT in America.

Tentatively calling this one "My Kraken Is Ready."

TL;DR get meter for Kraken and sit on it, abuse better mobility than regular (but not standard Inkbrush tier) until panic situation then go Hulk and make a way out for myself. Ink Resistance because duh, Saver Mains on the Splash Mob shirt because this will probably chew through ink reserves if it's getting likened to the Dynamo, and Ink Recovery Ups because no doubt there will still be quite a lot of swimming being done here.

I also realize now that this brush will probably post slightly lower scores on Cash Dome.

It didn't occur to me that it was basically a Krak-On Roller copycat. Heh. Faster and weaker Krak-On... interesting. I guess the preference is whether or not you like support or offense.

Oh hey, I was telling Kas earlier that he would probably have a good time with the Brush, and now there's a Brush version of his main weapon. =D Time to practice the Brush, Kas! Lol
