Ah, granddaughter. That makes more sense.
And she really does give off a Bastilla vibe...

Just like everybody else, just watched it for the second time today. It really gave me an appreciation for how well most of it was tied together. I wish we had gotten more of Rey living on Jakku before she gets swept up in the larger plot. For some reason, her living alone and scavenging in the Graveyard of Giants is really intriguing to me.
Or Luke remotely activated him to lead them to him, assumably because he felt Hans death. .
Ok so saw the movie solid 8/10.
Things of note:
Stormtropper vs Finn was easily the best fight/scene in the movie for me.
Kylo being a huge Vader fanboy is fucking hilarious to me.
I don't believe for a second that Han is dead.
How the fuck could that Starkiller laser split and destroy five planets? How much other shit got destroyed along the way?
Or Luke remotely activated him to lead them to him
I've been thinking it's this one, since in the vision Rey has Luke puts his hand on R2 and tells him to sleep. That's what I heard at least.
He doesn't say that.
You don't believe that a guy who got impaled by a lightsaber and then fell off a bridge into the void below on a planet that then gets blown up is dead?
Ren & Rey
You already know where this is going
Luke would probably not even know R2 has the map, plus it has a missing piece, why would he turn R2 on unless he knew BB8 had the other piece?
The movie really makes it fairly clear Luke has NOTHING to do with the map. The first order has the same part R2 has, and it's been pretty much confirmed that the script was supposed to be that R2 got that way back in the OT from the Death Star. Good guys just manage to find the part that was erased, that part being on Jakku in some old empire ruins there.
Why is there even a map to Luke in the first place? Immaculate Map Conception?

Except I don't think Rey is her real name. I think it's the name she gave herself because of the name she sees on the pilot helmet she puts on when she's eating outside her home. "Something Raeh"
In reference to the ANH similarities, I gotta say that the secret contents of the droid feel like they hold a lot more weight in ANH.
Does she have to be a Kenobi or a Skywalker?
Does she have to be a Kenobi or a Skywalker?
Did you see the body? Huh?
Does she have to be a Kenobi or a Skywalker?
Yep, it says "Raeh" in aurebesh, and the TFA dictionary says it belonged to someone named Dosmit Raeh of the Tierfon Yellow Aces.
Way too similar to be a coincidence. I highly doubt Rey is the name she was given at birth.
Lookd like the classic Sega Genesis lmao.![]()
Does this guy have a game console for a head?
I'm really looking forward to learning about these guys.

I'm going with Luke going where he did but having a vision, maybe left for Rey to find him when she was ready... Or something. Would explain why it was on Jakku with Lor San Tekka.
Since Ben's redemption and survival seems a bit unlikely it kind of makes it necessary for her to be a Skywalker since the mainline Star Wars are supposed to be about the Skywalker line unless they drop that. That is of course unless Ben/Kylo Ren has been out there banging around the galaxy.

This is totally Rey if they intend to go this route.
look how far apart they are

there's no way you'd be able to see that shit.
Keep in mind that you can't even see mars when it's light outside
I really like this one.
Yeah, Han is real dead.Yes I saw it get impaled and fall a thousand plus feet and then the chamber, followed by the planet explode.
Yeah, Han is real dead.
That's because that part of the plot makes little sense. In reference to the ANH similarities, I gotta say that the secret contents of the droid feel like they hold a lot more weight in ANH.
Rakata Prime
HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGH
What about her memories of being left on Jakku at a very young age.
