I can confidently say that the criticism and complaints lodged against Spongebob are COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY UNFOUNDED! The video was like 3-4 minutes long, and Spongebob was featured in the clip only TWICE for a whopping TWO SECONDS!

And to add, the video in itself actually does a great job at conveying their message: co-operation and unity.

Christian groups are seen as people who wants things to return to the way they once were (In other words, destroying the separation of Church and State) so they are seen as right-wing as opposed to change to the point that they want to go backwards.

There is a difference between mapping political parties and mapping political groups. It is less about content and more about their basic actions and beliefs, not the specifics.

Oh, and this combined with the Cosby allegating turned the news into a depressing time, I tell ya. The simple fact that they would attack ANYONE on spreading "pro-Homosexual propaganda" is absolutely and totally batshit crazy. They are the worst kind of people, these Christian groups, for this kind of bullshit. Ugh.

The worst thing is that Spongebob is only being picked on in this instance because he's not shown fucking some slut every other episode and holds hands with people. Give the guy a break; he's a CARTOON SPONGE. Oy.

Actually, there is an episode where Spongebob first meets Sandy, and wants to go to her house, so he gets Patrick to help him on how to act. Also, there's an episode where Spongebob takes Mr. Krab's daughter to the prom (granted, he's asked to take her, but still).

I think this whole thing is stupid. Spongebob is one of my favorite shows (yes, I have the mind of a child), and i've NEVER gotten the impression that he was gay. And I have excellent gaydar
