Spooks (MI5 in US) appreciation thread

Just finished watching the last episode of Season 3 again...awesome stuff.

I know some fans din't like Season 3 as much due to Tom Quinn leaving, but I think it was the strongest of the three, showing some character depth and moral/ethical dilemmas.

Spooks is the best television to come out of the UK in the last 10 years.

Are you talking about MI5 on A&E? I just started watching the show, and I must say it's pretty good, although I get a 24 vibe with those split screens. :lol

Spooks is really good. I'm in the UK at the moment, so you'd think I'd have no trouble catching it. And yet I haven't been able to keep up since the end of season/series 2 which I saw back in the U.S. It's on BBC1, right? What times do they play it? Reruns?

I keep meaning to rent MI-5/Spooks/whatever. I love the George Smiley minis, I love The Sandbaggers, so even if things are more on the action side I reckon I'll dig the hell out of MI-5. One of these days...

There is a fair amount of action, but the best thing about Spooks is it really pushes stuff close to the bone, whilst somehow not bashing an agenda. Most episodes are tense affairs, and leave a lasting impression and make you *think*.

Episodes 8 & 9 of Season 2 are some of the best TV drama ever IMO. Hell most of Season 3 is as good as those episodes as well...

I loved Spooks, gritty & fairly "fluff-free".

Some of the moral dilemmas presented were genius.
