From what I've seen / read of both i think touch is better mostly because it has more endearing characters, minami is just <3

Minami is quite iconic and is the ideal that all childhood friend characters strive to achieve, but my favourite will always be the coach. That scene at the end in the hospital was so touching.

On a related note I read somewhere that Touch was the highest rated anime ever. Does anyone know if that is true?

Since it started in March, it has sparked a rather interesting response from the users of Nicovideo.jp. They've been taking the animals... and turning them into Giant Robots.

Dude I always wanted to make a cover band, even picked up this acoustic guitar, well actually that was K-on's fault, seriously, but the rationale behind the purchase was that I'd make a Journey cover band. We could switch to anime theme songs or some shit but I still wanna do some Journey every once in a while. Come on, lets make a band.

I don't think there is any inherent sexual implication when "guro" is used. It's just that very often in anime and manga, it is used in reference to horror genres which indulge in ero-guro styles. Guro on it's own is very often used to specifically mention gross stuff and extreme violence, with no implication of anything erotic or sexual at all.
