Yeah. I love sitting next to Solune since he is a FEEDER.

Fucking Solune, feeding in all his games.

So free.
That's not what happened when you guys got blown up in Big 2.
It's true. Solune was the first guy I played in SFxT and he was free there too. And I've never played a fighting game in my life until the other day when I got SFxT.

Literally the definition of free.
It seems you want to take this outside of IRC. I clearly remember R'kellying you with my team but I didn't want to expose you.

Nakama under Rider's name, Solune, you cannot have such weak resolve in the face of the enemy!

Mortals are so weak. (⌐■_■)\ ( •_•)/⌐■-■

So, yes, best show ever of this season. They must have been saving all the good skits for this last episode and boy did it work. And, I would watch a season 2, even if it is live action with attractive actors.

I have no problem with the game itself, but I'm here for the characters and presumably the story... having them either play games or train for games or watch games is just boring after a while.

The Light of El Cantare
They're actually pretty cool to watch. The ones with actual good players, obviously.

I'll also admit to watching karuta on youtube thanks to Chihayafuru. I wish that there was some kind of English-language equivalent; cards with a series of 100 proverbs or something like that. I'd totally play it.

Daily Lives of High School Boys 12

Solid ending to a fun comedy. We had girls abusing guys in various ways, which is always a highlight, Literature Girl, and a Nichijou-like absurd slapstick skit about frankfurters. The final two skits were a surprisingly great way of tying everything together and coming full circle. You will live on in my heart, high school boys (and girls).

Chihayafuru 25 END

This was certainly a much more satisfying conclusion than I expected. Hopefully NTV's willing to put more money down on a second season.
like that's ever gonna happen ;_;

Putting anymore money into that series is literally throwing it away, unfortunately. It's even worse a dud than TWGOK.

Hidamari Sketch
So this is what has popped up next on my to watch list. All I know is that I've been hit by a kawaii bullet because basically nothing is happening and yet I keep watching. This makes Bodacious Space Pirates seem fast paced. Also first episode is named after my birthday so it is off to a good start.

Chihayafuru End

I've been watching this, even if I haven't really been posting about it. A reasonably satisfying conclusion, marred only be the fact we'll never get a second season. :(

The fact that the episodes are out of order, chronologically speaking, should probably tell you all you need to know about pacing and time in the show.

Still, it's Shaft's secret best show. Or was that Natsu no Arashi? I keep forgetting.

Spoilers - they play more karuta.

Nothing wrong with that. :(

Well I do have this. Maybe not 100% accurate as there might be a few series from my childhood I forgot the name of, but I'm always open to recommendations.

It's safe to say anything I'd recommend for a comedy/gag series is all ready on your list. Though the lack of Mad Bull 34 is disturbing.

Trying to get rid of some of my backlog, mostly stuff I've started watching some time ago but never finished.

Finished Android Kikaider and it was ok, not bad, boring at times, but I liked the overall style. The same could not be said about the animation, the early days of digital animation were definitely not kind to this show. Oh, and it's a 13 episode show with a recap episode in the middle, so yeah. 6/10
Need to watch the OVAs, doing that tomorrow.

Finally watched the Ginrei Specials, fun stuff, nothing too good, but it was nice to see the characters outside the original OVA. It's weird I only saw this now since Giant Robo is in my top 5 favorite anime of all time.

Some of the stuff I plan to finally finish: Dragon Drive (don't ask why, because I have no idea), Dancouga Nova, Gravion. Yeah, a bunch of crap, but there's robots, so I probably won't complain too much.

Ideally, no, it would have an interesting mix of both, like it had earlier on.

Fair enough I suppose.

I will admit I like the balance between the game and Chihayas relationships with her friends in the first half. I havent yet seen the second half though.

A solid episode to wrap up a very enjoyable show. I really hope that tease at the end wasn't a blatant lie. I really do.

Goodbye best show of winter season. You shall be missed.

Yeah, ok, that was really good. The song that played during
the Child Broiler scene
... Damn.

And all the EDs for the second half are amazing.

And... wow, now I've check it out! I made my biggest post-count on a thread ever... but why exactly?

I still can't understand how I've made approximately one sixth of my total posts as a user of this forums (150 posts) on a seasonal thread where I haven't watched or discussed practically ANYTHING aired this season[...] In fact, I didn't even watched shows lately on my free time except for a recent revisit of [B[]I]Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water[/I][/B].
How did you find it on a revisit? How many episodes did you go back and watch?
And what I posted hasn't been very useful either, with many of my posts being worthless retorts... I simply don't want this. I have to be more concise and helpful as a whole, starting now..

It really goes with the territory. If you post more, you'll spend less time on each post and therefore the 'quality' of your posting may well decrease as the quantity of your posts increases (assuming you spend roughly the same amount of time writing your responses).

I've certainly fallen into that trap on a few occasions and it annoys me. Sometimes I just have time to watch one episode of a show and write a brief analysis of it, as I might lack the time to go into great detail about the way certain shots worked or didn't work etc. In those cases I'd rather contribute something to the discussion of that episode, rather than avoid saying anything at all for fear of it not reaching some kind of 'high posting standard'.

In for Lupin the 3rd (Saya Yamamoto is all that needs to be said) and Fate/Zero s2. Those two shows are guaranteed to deliver.

Now I don't have to feel bad when I proclaim I am watching Shining Hearts.

Looking into it while putting the OP together makes me want to play it, more than anything. It doesn't look as if it's ever been localized though, and no fan-translation is in progress :(

I stopped concerning myself with post quality a long time ago. Not that I mean that it's better to be the anti-thesis, at all, but that the redundancy in debate brought about by opinionated posting is pointless. And it's true that in not participating, I'm, in ways, against the advent of novelty by not reaching for it, but eh.

Episode 20 is the best episode in the entire show, and works as a short story on its own merits as well.

I always try to watch video game adaptations no matter how terrible they look because it at least partially makes up for the lack of localization. I'm actually surprised that more JRPGs don't get video game adaptations, but with so many having the same high fantasy swords & spells settings and character archetypes, the market would saturate quickly.

I've found that the best JRPG adaptations aren't those that directly adapt plots* but are those that use the source material solely as an inspiration, such as the surprisingly good Tower of Druaga anime.

*I haven't seen examples of "good" direct adaptations like Persona 4 and Tales of the Abyss, so the above statement may not be accurate.

I suppose this is about as satisfying a non-ending as I could have expected, but in its focus on "Gotta get better at karuta!" it emphasized how much the character interactions have been left on the sidelines. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth - the characters have been reduced to karuta machines and don't know how to do anything else. If you were hoping for some kind of romance tease, you're out of luck. The production quality also was not that great - the direction had good ideas that called back to memorable earlier episodes of the show, but was let down by how cheap the art and animation looked. Ah well. The soundtrack is still top-notch at least.

R.I.P. Madhouse. You tried.
