I think it was at some point after Cola of Cthulhu that I realized there was no point in trying to fight this horrible evil that defies all logic anymore. I will watch this and hope that I'm lucky enough to be one of the first to be eaten when the time comes. Sanity is overrated anyway.
Nice Macross references too.

I tend to overrate as well. The anime has to actively offend me either with its stupidity or quality to get below a 5, one in particular was Akikan.

Yep, this is definitely this decade's Excel Saga. It's a hyper-active reference-mania who's cute and beyond super genki heroine pines for the love of a male who not only has no interest in her, but is pretty damn violent in protest.
This is not a bad thing per say, but while I loved Excel Saga when I first watched it it's become very difficult to rewatch it. I'll stick it out, because while Nyaruko is cute, Kuko is even cuter! :3

I remember I had some short book report when going into freshman year of high school, but that's about it. Definitely not the massive load Japanese elementary school kids apparently have.
Don't they have much shorter breaks? So it's more comparable to getting homework over Winter Break.

Winter break in US schools prior to college is like 2 weeks at most. Japan's summer break is a month IIRC (this is based on Persona 4, so don't quote me on that).

Nah, Blood-C is pure trolling. Code Geass on the other hand is something else. I really believe that Gorō Taniguchi wanted to tell a good story, but things didn't work out the way he wanted to.
The magnificence of Code Geass could only have been crafted by the touch of a calculated hand.
Summer break in Japan is after the first term of the academic year, so it makes sense for there to be homework at that point. The end of the academic year is after the spring term so for a couple of weeks in March.
My point is that it's not the ridiculous length of summer breaks in the US. There isn't any sort of month break only in the US except Winter break for colleges.

That's giving Gorō Taniguchi and Ichirō Ōkouchi far too much credit. I'm partly basing that off what people said about Guilty Crown.
That's definitely the case with R2 in that IIRC they didn't want to go back to the school setting but execs forced them and so Rolo was put in as well. Worst part of R2 by far.

Apparently the ending of R1 was because of Sunrise execs too. The moral of the story is: if you are going to work on a mecha show for Sunrise, bail the fuck out.

Really enjoying the series so far. Nice to see Sachiko opening up to Yumi a bit more. So glad that Sei is still there too (woot!). Really liked how they focused on Rose Foetida for the second episode, because she barely got any spotlight in the first season.

They do reviews when they don't have guests. These top ten things are basically reviews - except it's just old men talking about old shit because ALL NEW ANIME SUCKS.
They do manage to get guests for most weeks though, but if you have no interest in hearing yet another story about what it's like to sub a show or whatever, it's kind of old hat at some point.
I'm just saying no one would buy a MJ series... and that the timeskip was very much like the Chihayafuru one.
