So I'm gonna try to post some anime stuff in thread while I can, k?
Clannad: After Story 5
Just like every time before, the end of one arc brings forth the simplicity and tranquility and normal life nature of the start of a new one. How this get's melancholy like always...we shall see.
They really are a cute couple. Nagisa awkwardness is really cute.
Man, they can really pour on the bittersweet at any moment. And of different causes with easy. That sad "oooh oooh" song that plays at sad parts is also like salt in the emotional wound too.
So we're in the past, that much I can tell. That transition was a little hard to follow.

I'm not sure what happened with MVM for them to decide to do a sub-only BD release with Bakemonogatari, but in the case of the Manga releases, it's mostly because they renegotiated all of their BD mastering and replication contracts at the start of the year, and got considerably better rates on them. From what they were saying on twitter last week, they can make a BD release work on most titles if they can realistically expect to shift about 1000 units over the first two years, as opposed to (what I'd previously been told was) about 5000. 5000 units was pretty darn unrealistic a number for the size of the UK market for pretty much anything other than high-to-mid profile movies, to be honest, and even 1000 is pushing it for some titles, but it's at least way more manageable.
Kaze titles like Berserk are manufactured by Kaze HQ in France, and for a lot of titles are manufactured for distribution all over Europe and simply slapped in different packaging. Their overheads for releasing BD over here tends, as such, to be way lower than it is for Manga or MVM.

It'll probably be Lightning.
The naive optimist in me is trying to convince myself that having more people pay into PS+ is going to enable Sony to offer even more content with the service, even if the change to an online paywall is unethical. I'm okay with the decision insofar as I'm already a PS+ subscriber and it's unquestionably the best deal in gaming right now, but I can sympathize with anyone who sees this as a money-grab first and foremost. There is no real rationale for online console gaming to be a paid service.

I must say, aside from Madoka I've never been particularly excited about magical girl shows, but this one looks really good for some reason.
I mean, it probably helps that it's ripping off a lot of Madoka's visual aesthetic, but still.

I'm not 100% sure but I think Sony's online relies on servers, unlike Xbox, which is why they are doing maintenance all the time

Was PS+ a loss-leading service this whole time? Given that Sony put its foot down so strongly in regards to consumer rights issues like DRM and used games when it didn't have to, my cynicism can't quite drown out wondering whether or not this move was financially necessary for the preservation of one or both of the services involved. I'm not saying that this is a likely justification; I'm simply wondering aloud.

Just so that I don't give the impression that my previous post was fanboy spin in the guise of speculation, this is essentially what I believe to be the likely scenario. Sony taking a stand against the Xbone's madness was a good thing in and of itself, but it was also perfect for making their own negative policy change appear innocent by comparison.
If the only options are Stalin, Napoleon, and King George III, I'll take old George every time.
