There's that creepy fucker! God, that voice is going to be so damn unsettling when some later stuff happens.

They did a damn good job of showing how fuckin monstrous Pitou is, and he barely even did anything. The censorship was expected, and only made that infamous scene a bit less disturbing by virtue of
Pokkle not having his entire brain out in the open.
Also, what happened directly after didn't happen, but oh well.

Still amazes me how they're handling this arc. If it wasn't for that goddamn unfitting OP, it would be perfect.

wow that dragged on forever... and is the whole 'we are doomed' - nameless soldier. the only thing the author can think of for a plot beat?

Show is kinda boring...

The Light of El Cantare
I'm going to have to side with DiGiKerot on this one. No one will understand this reference, but Nico is basically an evil version of Aoi from Aikatsu!.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I hope that more people here will give the show a chance between now and then because it's way better than its premise would lead one to believe.

Wow, that enthusiasm. As someone who didn't enjoy Idolmaster aside from episodes 8-9 and the dancing, do you think there's any chance I'll enjoy Love Live?

What does :wonzo mean again?

Bad art.

This is going to get me murdered, but I enjoyed Love Live! more than Idolm@ster, so take that as you will.

I really, really can't make any promises, but Love Live had infectious energy, solid direction and production values, a great OST, and it was expression porn. It's still about IDOL CULTURE and moe and all, but I found it legitimately entertaining. Considering that one could say much of the same about Idolm@ster, I think that what set Love Live! apart for me was largely the fact that it has no overtly annoying characters
apart from the lesbian molester girl, and thankfully she doesn't have that much screen time relative to the others.

I've got to say, this season so far isn't too bad. I'm not enjoying it as much as Smile, but it definitely has had a stronger beginning. Art hasn't been too bad, either.

I might have to check this show out, since I actually enjoyed iM@S.

It's fun. It's pretty different in tone and style to iM@S, and whilst absolutely nothing about it makes a lick of sense if you actually stop to think about the things you are seeing (I often joke about it being the ultimate 2D waifu show due to it's complete disregard for the concepts of space and time), it's at least plenty entertaining about it.

Also, the first episode has someone dancing in traffic.

I think somebody made a gif of that in the Winter OT. It may have been another show though.

Other than EYE CUTS, Shit Eaters and Sakuga Mermaids, Love Live is probably better than anything airing this season.

Really couldn't stay away, I had to know how it plays out till the end. Really like the friction between Ayase and Kuroneko.
Sucks that they justify what is about to happen.
Also I think that is Manami's song at the end. She really only pops up for 2 minutes and then she is gone.

Well, I can see why everyone was complaining about the pacing in this episode. It was essentially all buildup and no payoff. The whole episode focused on showing the various different groups all anticipating, dreading and making preparations for the big operation, and while each individual scene felt pretty solid, relevant and emotionally charged, there were just so many of them that it felt a bit excessive. Still, I enjoyed the episode for what it was.

Well I guess they're going for that
"understanding" ending.
This show was better when it was about belly dances and package deliveries.

Doki Doki Precure 20

OH! OH! SO YOU DID NOTICE! Should've told your fucking friends, Mana.

So Alfred came into play with Batman and picked up the girls in order to use their Dragon Radar to locate the Selfish Trio and Regina.
So lets head off to Alaska!

Transforman music was different this time, it used the first track from the first ep of Doki Doki. Probably the one I like the most so far.

Cure Heart falls trying to save Regina, and survives, but becomes Mana. The crystals both revealed Ange as well as purify Regina.

Spoiler Hugging with Mana and Regina, and many shipping opportunities, probably setting up for the Mana x Regina OTP (we can't have Rikka with Alice because of "that" comic), with Regina being set up for a change of Heart (and potentially become lame). Regina still is the better one though.

Regina gets napped along with the princess.

Next time, New Cure is showing up.

Smile Precure! - 45~END

Candy
evolves into an egg.
Wolfrun, Aka Oni, and Majorina
never felt like bad villans to me, they were more like team rocket to me, I never wished anything bad to happen to them, and in the end they were Märchenland fairies, Wolrun was the cutest.
Before the Precures
can claim the final Decor, Joker steals it and combines it with bad energy to create evil clones of the Cures, the Bad End
Precure.
Joker is a really good villan.
While he toys with
Pop, he reveals he has no wish to the Miracle Jewel, he just want to destroy all hopes and dreams.
Zetsubou.
Wait, Candy
is the Royal Queen daughter, so Pop is Royal Queen son, or is the Royal Queen the mother of all the fairies?
Can we stay with the two Peaces
? Pretty please?
The
Bad End Precure
fights were cool, can someone link that gif with the fights in pixel art? To win the fights, the Precures refuses to give in to Zetsubou.
But isn't that to late?
The world already turned into a desert
, it's the end of the world. Zetsubou.
Royal Candy>Candy.
Attack on Precure
, Candy
stops the giants and the Precures fight the smalls dark akanbes, but they continue to revive and overwhelm the precures, and Pierrot splatters black paint on the Precure Book, and we have more Zetsubou. Candy saves then and they come back on a new form, and they finish everything in the area with beams, and more beams.
Well, that escalated quickly.
Precures VS
Huge bad dark vortex. That hand attack who destroyed a good chunk of Earth. More Zetsubou, but you girls said no more Zetsubou. One last attack with everything they got, to protect the future...and with the power of Omadoka-sama(Happy looked exactly like her, lol), they surpassed Zetsubou.
The thing about
separating from Candy didn't get to me because I expected her to come back some way in the end, and she did, I would prefer if it was just hinted that Candy continued to observe them from bookshelves/Märchenland.

It was pretty nice, I tried watching the movie but I slept midway through it because I was awake for at least 18 hours straight, and I was getting tired, I will re-watch it sometime.

HeartCatch Precure! - 01~04

Oh god, the sheer amount of reactions faces here. I love it.
Is being a transfer student and being hit in the face by fairies a precure shtick?
While I was watching my brother asked me: "Is this Furi Kuri Precure?" I certainly felt like it, I would like to know who's responsible for this style, did I already mention that I love it, because I love it.
And we have a more diverse cast,
one Tuxedo Mask(doki doki), one student council president(doki doki) and one Precure Senpai with her cute fairy
, Coupe-sama.
Where the heck did that Heart Seed came from? lol
Erika is adorable, and Blossom has a lovely ponytail.

God, this MC is kinda pathetic. But that's probably just par for the course for shows like this.

Episode was contained nothing of real importance, other than introducing our little cast a little bit more. Nothing big plot wise.

The Light of El Cantare
Dokidoki 20:

fucking Mana Sue. No, seriously, fuck her. She's a living, breathing deus ex machina able to melt even the most recalcitrantly evil heart and effortlessly dismantle every single barrier to achieving an objective through MOAR FRIENDSHIP and the fact that she's regarded as an untouchable and pristine goddess of benevolence by everyone else. This shit is just the worst. I don't even know what else to say.

I mean she's fucking friends WITH THE BATMAN AND ALFRED! Can't get anymore Sue than that. I think my example just shows how stupid her friends are because apparently they didn't notice Regina's pupils changing colors, but it's clear that they just want the harem lead and want to eliminate the competition.

Solid writing, beautiful art and sound design. Stumbles early on and is hobbled by its insistence on forcing up the bodycount to comical levels. But there's a point in the latter half of the game where everything just comes together--a perfect confluence of great level design and narrative stakes--where it hits true greatness. Never hits that high again, but that's fine. Druckmann-sama won.

Gargantia 1

I decided to watch this cause I've caught up on Maou and I figured I'd check this out cause lots of people say it's good. Decent enough opening I suppose; guy from the future ends up on Earth cause of a space-time issue in a space battle he was fighting in six months beforehand. So now he's probably going to have to adjust to a primitive (by comparison) society and interact with these people speaking this different language and all that jazz.

Cool water effects.

Suisei no Gargantia 11

Well, it's fairly easy to see where the series is headed at this point, but I'll be damned if I'm not looking forward to seeing it happen.

Ledo's old commander seems to effectively represent everything that is wrong with the society Ledo left behind. GodDAMN that cult of his is creepy. He can't see the world in terms of anything except efficiency, control and the prime directive of war. He sees the people of Earth as "wrong" because they don't adhere to his worldview. And he has the means and the intent to force the whole planet to submit to him.

Initially, Ledo joins back up with him willingly, even happily, because for him this represents a return to the world he's used to, but the more he speaks with his old commander and hears his plans for Earth, the less sure he feels that this is really what he wants. His mind and his upbringing are telling him that his commander's words and actions make sense, but his heart is telling him that this is all wrong.

Still he goes along with his commander's plans for the time being, however conflicted he may feel, because it's not easy to turn away from the comfort of obedience when that's how he's been raised to live all his life. But the task he's given at the end of the episode - to actively participate in subjecting the people of Gargantia to this new order - means that he can't just avoid facing up to the issue any longer. He has to make a final choice: betray the people of Earth and side with his old values, or betray his old values for the sake of the people of Earth.

Can't wait to see what happens when he makes the right decision, because that's when the shit is really going to hit the fan.

If only it didnt have numerous glitches (backgrounds suddenly vanishing to blue/black things with character models remaining, consistently in one corridor)
and could remain from being a bit predictable with some character outcomes) and had a stronger ending, imo

[Attack on Titan] - 11

I'm surprised that this is the point where people are saying they're "done" with the show. I'm not saying that this was a good episode, of that the current pace is acceptable, but it's certainly better than last weeks outing. At least it seems that there will be some 'action' next episode, but whether or not it's animated remains to be seen.

Also, it's best if we don't talk about the writing of most of these characters. It's...unimpressive, to say the least.
