Good episode, great show so far. Getting really good vibes from the show so I'm hoping it continues to deliver! Really looking forward to Ledo's "welcome home" after that little stunt. Willing to bet it won't be very pretty.

CG robots are definitely the weakest part of the show. Everything else is looks pretty darn good.

I was expecting perhaps a higher amount of animation from seeing Gargantia's director and apparently perfect schedule. And considering the comments he made about the series' animation trying to achieve a "new way of expression", it comes off as a bit typical. Very high quality, and certainly the characters are expressive (the guy mechacnic particularly was nicely animated in the first two episodes), but it doesn't feel new to me at all. Milos, for comparison, had a distinct approach to animation that made it very exciting to behold.

That said, I'm really enjoying the show as a whole and can't wait for Kameda action in the second half.

Hataraku Maou-sama - 1-2

I like this series for how absurd it is. The Dark Lord lands in modern Tokyo and needs to live so he gets a job at McDonald's. I'm not sure how far they can stretch the joke (by the 2nd episode it was getting thin) but I certainly have my interest piqued.

I also like that I used to live in the town that this show is set in so I get a weird sense of nostalgia watching it. The setting changes quite a bit but of the stuff I could recognize, they were modeled quite accurately.

Dupstep bullshit. The thing with the dream doesnt even make sense. Spoilers everywhere. And the outro sucks as hell. Everywhere blood but you will NEVER see how a titan will eat a human. Its everytime offscreen or something is in the way. I already dont like this anime. It went from wow to fucking piece of shit in 2 episodes.

Suisei no Gargantia ep 2

Disintegrated beams of death.
Here I thought the butch would tone down one of his trademarks but he took it to the next level.

It maybe a Sugita mech but the CG is ugly. However the strong writing, rich settings and unique characters makes up and overwhelmes it making it one of the most interesting shows to watch it heck even I have dreams about this show.

Sky Raker (AW)
Rin, Kud (Little Busters)
Nibutani, Rikka, Touka (Chuunibyou)

question is, can any of them make it through to the finals and break the veteran stranglehold

The actual Saimoe later in the year is more entertaining due to being a huge single elimination tournament, while ISML does some round robin thing that takes forever before moving on to eliminations.

They're amusing to passively observe, at any rate. I mean, it's just another internet poll, but damn if it isn't funny to see people (pretend to?) lose their shit when their favorites don't advance.

I... have no f'in idea what happened. I think Sunrise decided to just Geass it up and use some ideas they had lying around and made a show out of it.

The character animations are nothing short of terrible and it felt like watching a powerpoint slideshow at times but the mecha action was pretty great. I really dislike CG but if its CG done like this where it makes sense in the world and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, I don't mind as much.

Oh man, were you keeping track of Saimoe when it was really big? I think it was around Rozen Maiden, Hayate no Gotoku, Shakugan no Shana, etc. The stories of revenge voting, tactical voting, and such were great. I heard Saimoe is a lot less popular now and has been losing popularity for a while though.

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo in love with this show!
Oh my god it oozes charm like crazy. The characters arelikeable, the world setting is extremely interesting, and the
galaxy currents
were a fascinating idea.
Musically I think its understated but very strong, and art-wise of course Im completely smitten. This is easily going to be one of my favorites of the year. It just puts a huge smile on my face as I watch it, similar to how I felt watching Last Exile and other shows with well thought out worlds. The beam spam thing was pretty insane but its a good way to show how alien the mech technology is to the world and how ridiculously overpowered it is.
To say I'm hooked would be an absolute understatement. This is the kind of show I will buy on Bluray and watch over and over and over again. In fact, I'm about to go rewatch this episode now.

You know how these things turn out. asuna is going to win. Its inevitable. I guess we can hold out hope but hope gets shit on by Otaku a lot.

Let's not go through this again. All the SAO girls suck. As they are all crazy for Kirito's dick/gaming skills. But perhaps wanting dick/pro gamers is moe?

So ridiculous, so sakuga. They could easily play off these history jokes for interesting situations and animation every week, its very entertaining and a neat way to add back story for our characters.

Next week's preview had me rolling with that Woll Smoth face.

They are kinda sorta similar but obviously different if you pay attention. Mitsuishi had to go on sick leave at the time.

In the third drama album she gets to rerecord lines from the first series ending she missed out on. lol

Good stuff, and I'm glad to see the production values holding up thus far.
The bit with the armored Titan dashing into the wall was great, and so was the accompanying piece of music.
While nothing here is as awesome as Sawano's work on Gundam Unicorn, it's still great to hear his stuff in more anime.

Aside from the weird bit at the beginning of the episode, the direction is strong and there's a lot of really fantastic background art. So happy this is turning out better than I expected.

pretty cool, I like the bits when they pull a map and try to fill up some lore and stuff, maybe it's lazy but I'd rather they keep the good pacing they have so far and don't interrupt so much. I hope it stays like that.
ED is pretty good too, I'll probably watch it a few more times.

Will keep watching, note to myself, don't enter the |OT|, it's pretty terrible with all the teases and spoiler minefields.
