I usually avoid OTs because posters have a tendency to blatantly disregard any potential spoilers and they happily start dropping hints or outright plot developments left and right. The Titan thread, for instance, has already fallen victim to this so I doubt I'll ever go back there again.
All according to plan.

And this is the major drawback. It's not a problem with original works because its just speculation at that point, but for any adaptation the spoilers tend to flow pretty fast.

Attack of Titan 2

I was wondering if this would be less silly than the first episode, but nope, the humor was there right from the first scene. The more it attempts to be serious, the funnier it gets, especially the way everyone screams like Stroheim. The show is a failure as a drama and cannot be taken seriously, but I think I may be able to appreciate it for its bombastic cheesiness and dark comedy.

Well people posting in ots would be helpful as posts and impressions get lost quickly here and its difficult to go back and find posts if one is late watching an episode/waiting for the episode to actually air on tv/ or curious to go back and evaluate if peoples speculation turned out to be true or not.(well I like to keep track of whose good at predicting things).
Yeah. But I remember talking about this topic some time ago and precisely mentioning that the tsu ri ta ma OT was a good example of what it will usually happen; we had a nice collection of first episodes impressions on it, but as we make our life in here, on this community, the "thread", the continuity of the discussion tended to be at this very place making a bother to go over to the OT and missing useful responses and further conversations in the process.

The consequence was that tsu ri ta ma as a series had a lot of attentive people talking in here about it but at the same time its OT was practically deserted. That talks mostly come in the spur of the moment along little mentions and different ideas expressed on the same post (I think sometimes it is pointless making a new post on another thread with actually so little to contribute with), and is difficult to control that when talking also about other series, all those said talks being intertwined.

The reason I visit the Jojo OT is for news or random stuff/discussion. Impressions don't really interest me for more than a quick scan as I'm both watching the show and seeing a few of them here.

I guess if I had a greater interest in these shows, rather than them being simply something to watch and be entertained by, I'd be more interested in the OTs.

Suisei no Gargantia 2

This builds off the great second half of the last episode. It's pretty excellent.

People have already covered the reasons fairly well, so I'm just going to express relief that we're getting one "sci-fi" show that doesn't heavily use Twitter and NicoVideo, and actually portrays a future society unlike our own.

I'm extremely disappointed with the people I follow on Pixiv. I was hoping to look at my favorite users and see a plethora of Gargantia art.

Instead I see creepy Pokemon porn. ='(

I've clearly lost this battle.

This show is so ridiculously stupid.

And I love it. Will check out more. Reminds me a bit of something like Zombie desu ka in terms of taking a totally serious premise and making it as ridiculously silly of a comedy as possible only this time with some scifi elements.

Ok the way you compare this to Zombie makes me really want to see it. Zombie wa desu ka is really awesome.

Dokidoki Precure - 11

- Huh, no more New Stage 2 previews? I was enjoying them.

- This show just isn't giving up on the lilies. I guess softball is Saki's sport, after all. But even so, we got a real
"I love you" this episode. Apologetically, mind you, but that only reinforces the 'married couple' dynamic that Mana and Rikka have. And none of that weak "daisuki" stuff, but an "aishiteru". I guess it still isn't quite up to the "horeru" from Rikka's VA, but we're getting there. Mana too strong
.

- These villains continue to impress.
Attacking a civilian and hospitalizing him is rare in Precure. It was Joe, so he's probably not really a normal civilian, but still.
Also, the "absorb a MotW and power up" routine usually doesn't come up until the 30s. These villains are just so competent - it's like they're actually trying to kill the Precure! imagine that
.

- I was wholly unimpressed with the
new bow powerup - when Alice, Rikka, and MakoP used their moves, that is. For those three, the animation wasn't that cool, and the effect was just a minor upgrade to their original techniques. But then Mana's attack! Swoon~. So good. All is forgiven
.

- An interesting preview.
The new blonde lady, of course. But also the character of the week - with that name and appearance, I can't tell if you're male or female! Mana might be in danger here. Also, revolution
.

It knows its stupid and revels in it, lmao @ the "specialists" from episode 2.

Mal has a forum?

For the sake of your sanity, no it doesn't.

Best IM@S pairing is Takane/Chihaya. Coincidentally enough, they're also the best idols.

Best pairing is Chihaya x Yukiho!

Followed by ChihayaxHaruka and then MakotoxMiki!

It's early in the morning and I wasn't thinking straight.

Ok, best pairing would go as follows:

 1. Chihaya x Haruka (The OTP of the show. Their love for each other is unstoppable.)
 2. Makoto x Yukiho (The dashing prince and the wallflower. Yukiho gets the best of both worlds as she can date someone who looks like a boy but is in truth a girl.)
 3. Makoto x Miki (Team Cucumber. Nuff said.)
 4. Azusa x Iori (Recent doujin came out that made quite the compelling case.)
 5. Takane x Yukiho (Takane is Yukiho's structural support, the motivator she needed as they made their way to the top.)
 6. Ritsuko x Kotori (You can't tell me that nothing's going on in the office when all the girls are out doing photo shoots with Producer-bro, leaving the two of them by themselves.)
 7. Iori x Yayoi (The Princess and The Pauper. A safe yet sweet pairing.)

That's exactly my opinion about the Titan anime.
Outside of a few moments, the anime can't catch the same mood as the manga.

I'm going to go ahead and pretend that pokeporn and MAL forums dont exist. I have luckily seen neither and can thus assume both do not exist.
The easy analogy to make would be to consider that MAL recently changed their naming convention so that everything is in glorious Nippon-ese and death and retribution await naysayers. That tells you everything you ever needed to know about the community there.

While AnimeGAF is not without its problems, its continual cynicism to everything keeps it well grounded.

I'm the greatest.

You gonna be with JET for a while? Nother few years?

Jintor, weren't you planning to apply to JET? I recall talking to someone about it in the Persona 4 thread a while back, and I cannot recall if it was you or not.

Oh I have also caught the Naruto disease, I have been plowing through Shippuden. I just finish the (episode 130-145)
Sasuke and Itachi fight.
I thought I should toss the anime talk in this post and not simply make it a JET post.

We'll never know the secret he saw that day.

Bloody hell. I am listening to the Lord of the Ring OST right now. I was on the "Black Rider" piece, and I burst into laughter when I saw your post with the combination of that song.

I have to wonder if, in the case of Tsuritama, that was more to do with show itself. People outside of this thread seem to be interested in checking a show out if it has a dark tone, focuses on action or macho stuff. Essentially, if it resembles a type of show that they are already familiar with because they've seen anime similar to it in the past. Tsuritama is not that - it's a really colour, slightly eccentric show about guys who learn to fish. I'm not surprised it didn't catch on.

Newish gaffer here that was weened on Melody of Oblivion and Final Fantasy Unlimited (a.k.a. the golden age of anime) and was wondering what I should watch next: Casshern Sins, Project ARMS or Romeo x Juleit?

I've only seen on of these shows, but I loved Romeo X Juliet. My only issue with this show was the middle dragged for a little bit. However, the beginning and ending parts of RXJ were extremely well-done.

I really wished Gonzo continued with remaking classic stories into anime. RXJ and Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo (in my top ten list for best animes ever) were top-notch productions.

Maturity, bitches.
I remember when a friend of mine showed me a print out of Rule 34 (well of course it wasn't called that back then) Pokémon pics. Luckily they were of the female characters and not the 'Mons themselves (well saying that Mewtwo was enjoying Jessie's Voltorbs).

It's the price we pay for treading the Pixiv line. Though, it's usually worth it.

[*]Takane x Yukiho (Takane is Yukiho's structural support, the motivator she needed as they made their way to the top.)

This was actually a thing in the PSP game; there is even a dialogue from Producer and Kotori in which they half-joke about Takane being Yukiho's "first love".

Better than episode 1 though I wonder why we went the Sepia route of sorts for all of the intense action moments, looked and felt quite odd and kind of silly in my opinion instead of being stylish.

The professor sounds exactly like Hyobu Kyousuke from courtesy of Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited - Hyobu Kyousuke -. Especially when he says my queen the same way he said it there worshipping her and what not. I guess its fitting as well since both were in a secret organization of sorts.

I hope there arent anymore lewd looking moments, but Ill probably stick around for the action. This, Flowers of Evil, and Sparrow's Hotel, are easily managing to retain their worst anime of the season titles.

Okay, this was more like the show we've all come to know and love. A considerable step up from last weeks outing.

Please support the various anime OTs. We can do this together. Stop dumping everything in this thread! We can promote change for a better world!

Not sure if the world that will be created will be "better"

And so it ends .. and it was glorious . Overall the GI arc was well done but was also full of untapped possibilities.
Wish sometone will be dumb enough to make a greed island game ( No the psp hxh game doesn't count )..

But now it's flashback time !! And the start of the chimera arc baby !

Yeah right now we're discussing huge spoilers like Yuuki Kaji playing Left4Dead.
