So my questions are the following. If you can answer them seriously that'd be amazing since it'd help with my research more. Thanks. If you want to hide your answers or PM them to me instead because you're uncomfortable that's fine.
1.) Do you view homosexual relationships portrayed in anime in a positive or negative light? Is it the same for both male only relationships and female only relationships or does it differ?
2.) What about the homosexual relationships in the anime appeal to you and why? If you hate it, why do you hate it?
3.) How does your perspective of homosexual relationships in anime affect your perception of homosexual relationship in real life.
4.) How does the homosexuality presented in anime affect you personally.
5.) Do you think the presentation of homosexual relationships is stereotypical, pandering, or a fairly good representation of it.
1. Positively. I like that they are allowed to occur. I prefer yuri, but yaoi has its fans and has a right to exist.
2. Anime doesnt try to pretend that they do not exist. Real life has such relationships and anime reflects that. I respect it. It can also be quite cute if certain tropes are applied.
3. It doesn't.
4. It doesn't.
5. I think they seem to be exaggerated in anime usually, and a lot of times for pandering fanservice, but they still depict relationships that can exist, which can slightly ground a show in reality. Slightly.
