It's not on my immediate to-do list. I still need to watch Smile after Heartcatch. And Fresh.
I think they might be reaching all the way back and stealing an episode from Futari wa. The terrible thing about having seen almost 450 episodes of this is that you see the Toei snake eating its own tale everywhere.
if only the baby was the only problem with the show. Then it would at least be as good as Fresh.

Yeah no. If I saw THAT outside my window, I think the smart thing to do would quietly give in to whatever the hell it wants.
But it's not just about the killing, as I said before. It's about the injustice of exerting power to devour the weak. He could have negotiated with them if he was already a developed character. Instead, he simply executed them without any sympathy. The people don't want to be controlled, but they don't want to control others. That essentially makes the people(almost) fully developed characters, leaving the focus on Ledo's development as a character.
EDIT: If I had one complaint with this show is the fact that we haven't seen too much slice-of-life action with Ledo and others. There's those debates, the pirates, etc. Hopefully now we can find some more interaction between Ledo and the people now that he's on their good side.

I guess its a good thing I've only seen Heartcatch, 11 episodes of Smile, and 11 episodes of DokiDoki, as far as Precure goes. I've enjoyed DokiDoki, despite a little bit of a rough beginning to me. Probably going to go onto another Precure series when I finish Smile.
Also, I watched Gargantia episode 3. I enjoyed it, as I have the previous episodes, but I'm not going to get into a debate over what all happens. I think I get into a bit of a trance and enjoy almost anything I watch. Explains why I've enjoyed series that have been almost universally hated, anyway.

Well, Gargantia is a show that doesn't use misunderstandings to complicate or advance the character drama. When a problem arises, the characters begin talking about that problem, and most of the parties are willing to compromise. I don't so much have an issue with how the immediate situation was resolved, just more what happens afterwards. It's nice, really, but it also means that the impact of episode 2's ending kinda peters out. Ultimately, my issues stem more towards the introduction of the new villain, and what that might mean for the rest of the series.

Alright, quick and dirty impressions. I like it. A lot, actually. I checked it out given the surprisingly positive reception, and well, it's fun. The premise is incredibly out there, but it's good humoured enough about it not to feel too manufactured. I dunno what to say about it, actually. The production quality is very solid (to my surprise), it uses the main cast's collective fall from grace surprisingly well in service of the tone and the jokes, and the weirdly grounded approach it has to the lives of Maou and Emilia is honestly pretty endearing. There's a bit in episode 2, where Emilia reveals herself as
to Maou, chewing him out for the lows he's fallen to, followed by a series of cuts of her at work, and her walking through the shopping district as she notices (and acts on) a couple window sales that, I thought, was quite effective (and funny). There's about a hundred and one ways this could torpedo, and I'm honestly not sure what kind of series that Maou wants to be, but for now, I'm all on board.

So after watching almost everything I missed, it looks like Aku no Hana really did end up being the best thing this season for me.
Yuyushiki turned out to be a boring Joshiraku, while SNAFU ended up also being the "best" of the slice-of-life-pseudo-romantic-comedy-set-in-highschool shows by being the most inoffensive (Creepshots probably being the shittiest of the bunch).
The shounens/mechas/cartoons for boys shows have also ended up being kind of average. I guess Gargantia is my favourite of the bunch, but it feels like they already killed the premise in the third episode and any sense of exploration seems to be gone and replaced by silly robot battles. Titan 3's ending, specifically with the shots that were basically (I assume) ripped out of manga pages, complete with the speed-lines, makes me hope that this supposed

Right now it's not as good as many precure series , but it's not that bad.
Regulus i'm not seeing the bad animation. There was one episode with bad animation but after that i haven't seen it. And the cast is not annoying ?? If anything the mascots are not dumb and are taking a glorious backseat to the heroines. The heroine themselves are currently in a character develloppement with MOTWs that every serie used and abused. What make this cast annoying ?
I'm the first to call them all deeply flawed but annoying ? i'm not seeing it.
Mad pierrot. On their 12 first episodes , i like dokidoki much more than fresh.
Don't get me wrong fresh is great. But i'm not gonna say one is better than the other untill i reach the mid season finale given that they use the same themes differently.

First off, Erika, going to Yuri to cheer her up, and hugging her...wow. She's the best. She's the queen. I love Itsuki and Tsubomi and I've grown to like and feel for Yuri, but Erika is where the tops is.
That scene between Yuri and Cologne was pretty great. I'm not really sure how that works, that they've collected enough heart seeds so he can be a ghost or spirit or whatever that can communicate with Yuri...but who the hell cares? Magic, that's how. And Yuri needed to have that conversation and that closure to be able to become a Precure again. And she did. Aw yeah.

Romcom is offensive in a way. Offensively dull. Titan, Valvrave, McSatan and Gargantia are the top shows this season. Muromi-san is kinda amusing. I guess.
