The newest light novel to have an anime adaptation announced is Outbreak Company ~Moeru Shinryakusha~ (lit. "moe invader"), by the author of Scrapped Princess.

:SDBUrtowned Pretty funny episode with some nice character moments, a thing that got me though
they said on the last episode that all life in the seas had died, which would imply some heavy water polution but she's drinking the water fine, moreover they seem to be very close to some sort of nuclear wasteland (awesome shot btw)

As expected of our chipmunk people! Noel <3 This episode was also home to some quality dead-eyes moe.

Yeah, it's in theaters at the end of May and on JP BD a month later, but it's difficult to say if that can guarantee an NA release by the end of the year. But then again Comix Wave might work differently than other companies, so who knows.

Though the movie is actually having its first international screening this weekend in Australia, with Shinkai in attendance for Q&As, autographs, etc.

Anyway, I just hope this means one more step towards a 5cm Blu-ray release in NA.

i'm not sure about this ..there is no need for fighting , no war to be fought, no quest to do ..so ...Is this going to be a fantasy world anime with .....moe ? With possibily harem ?

I just bought Akira bluray at a reasonable price since it's OOP and when it arrived today it came in a steelbook with DVD and Bluray. Turns out it's the UK version and therefore it's locked to Region B. Very salty at the situation.

Everything about this movie feels like god-awful fan fiction. From the mechanical designs, the character designs, to the script and the story itself. A movie about nothing.

Huh, that's surprisingly fast. Oh well, all the better since that means we can watch the movie faster.

Quite.

I really hope no-one watches Rebuild before the series because the way it explains and discusses some of the core plot elements is pretty dumb, both in terms of the delivery (info dumping vs. interpreting the evidence) and the actual content of the material. Ugh.
