Lewd? Lewd.

This show continues to bring the goods. King of Steel constantly proves why she's the best girl and being Azusa is suffering.

That's partially why I'm worried, maybe worried is a bit too strong, as the Sushio one isn't as good as Nakamura or Kameda. I'm sure it'll be very good but there are very few people of Nakamura/Ando/Ito's quality when it comes to close quarter combat. Stuff like this is highly dependent on the animator.

This song gets me SO hyped when I hear it for this show. The show isn't all that different from a lot of other anime, but for some reason this opening song gives it a separate feel from other shows, making me want to watch it really badly. (also the art in the opening is so good)

More shows need brit rock openings

The Dead Leaves clip is more than 10 years old; this is how Sushio fighting looks these days; I just didn't post it because it doesn't involve swords:

As an artist/visual designer, Sushio is much, much better than Nakamura and Ando.

Oreimo S2 - 06

Up until the last few episodes I would have defended this show on the incest front, because it really was about the fractured relationship between Kirino and Kyosuke to which I sympathized... last two episodes would have been touching if it didn't feel incest laden all over.

You mean last season's ending where
the simp brother went all the way to 'MURICA to bring her back just so they could play porn games together again
didn't hint that enough?

I find it faintly amusing that the most vicious complaints about the original Oreimo seies was that it pandered to people with an incest fetish, when really that wasn't a fair complaint at all. However, as the series has developed that's now a completely legitimate complaint. Amazing.

It was always valid. The incest pandering has always been there from the very beginning and it would be foolish to claim otherwise.

The "mending of a broken sibling relationship" angle has also always been a convenient excuse to take cover under.

Zetman 4 (dubwatch)

Really good episode, I forgot there were so many time skips but still this initial incident and white zet were fun and the sweeper. I really should check out the manga someday.

It's bugged me since the show first aired that they misspelt "remorse" in the OP. I hoped they'd fix it for the English language release (given that they couldn't get Falling Down for the OP) but alas, no joy.

Some other Brit rock openings:

Serial Experiments Lain (Duvet - Boa)
Speed Grapher (Girls On Film - Duran Duran)
Gunslinger Girl (The Light Before We Land - The Delgados)

And although it's not rock, it's still British:

Mushishi (The Sore Feet Song - Ally Kerr)

Makes sense to me.

If you can't fight the stigma you might as well embrace it.

Alright, that's better. I'm fully aware we're comparing top-tier animators to each other. We'll see how it goes as I expect a lot of Nakamura and Ando this Fall as well. Besides, it doesn't need to be as good as BONES's top-tier fights in order to be amazing in its own right.

Apparently the LN author decided to straight-up troll people at this point based on some of the developments I've heard.

Yeah I don't like Oreimo much, but I don't know why people are complaining about the incest angle now. It's been there since the beginning.

Now that it is getting closer towards the end, the incestuous connotations are getting more pronounced, and I guess it's starting to rub people the wrong way who thought that show really was just about the mending of a broken brother-sister relationship.

As for me, the incest angle don't bother me much. My eyes were wide open on that front. What's more bothersome is how the show is dominated by such a crappy character (Kirino). Her bitchiness is NOT cute; it's annoying and tired.

I don't think Ando is doing anything this Fall?

Regardless, they're different types of action. Kameda is the only Kanada-inspired animator in Bones, pretty much everyone in the Imaishi crew has a little of Kanada in them. Thinking about it, I think the action in KLK will be relatively close to the action scenes in Black Rock Shooter TV; if you remove all the camera spinning, you really get a good idea of what 2D Imaishi-directed super-human weapon-driven fighting feels like. (Or you can just watch the flashback in episode 7, I guess...)

Yea I got ahead of myself. I was just assuming that Ando would be working on the new Watanabe show to some extent, probably as an episode director given his position now, but that isn't a given.

I do agree they are different types of action and so preferences will vary. I put a high emphasis on choreography and fast movements so a lot of stuff from BONES works really well for me. We'll see. I expect there to be a lot of sakuga updates either way.

You know, this show really doesn't have anything of value when the sakuga is not there. :/ It was boring.

It's actually pretty depressing that all these production values are being wasted on such stupidity.

Japanese Light Novel written for otaku titled "My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute" eventually migrates toward incestuous pandering.

Frankly, I never saw it coming.

Haly

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
A deconstruction of incest.

If you want to see incest taken to its logical conclusion, then just look at any medieval royal families.

SPOLER ALERT
They turn into retards and occasionally burn down Rome.

Best girl. Well either her or Priss.
This episode was awesome. Felt as a return to the awesome from the first episode. So much sakuga and mechanical porn. With the whole
Evil corporation stuff
presumably behind us since
that executive dude croaked so I'm curious where it's going from here. Presumably a bigger baddie shows.
They are also really bad at saving people and learning but I like the cast for the most part.
In 80s OVA tradition we also got plenty of bare bosoms.
This is kind of confusing btw . This is meant to be Tokyo but here's Hollywood. Is this some sort of
new Japanese Empire stuff
like in Gunbuster?

Again, it's always been there.

Now it simply doesn't care about trying to hide it under a facade anymore, apparently.

There will probably be a lot of variety in KlK, a big show like this will summon a lot of talent.

And I guess Space Dandy too. Damn, Fall will be amazing.

At the very least Oreimo is actually getting a proper conclusion both in the novels and in the anime, which is more than can be said for most LN-to-TV adaptations.

This.
If you have problems with the incest angle now, then be prepared because it will only get more obvious and pronounced going forward as Oreimo is heading towards its ending.

Idolmasters Makoto's VA is the same woman who did Naomi Evans from Kangoku Senkan? (uh don't google this at work...) Mind blown.

Exactly anyone using that excuse has just been trying to hide the fact they're just there for the incest pandering.

Unconfirmed; it was made under a pseudonym. Could be wishful thinking from fans. :X

And I just revealed that I actually researched this myself back in the days...

I'm not sure its an excuse when it was the main focus of the first season along with silly otaku comedy. I mean if you were looking for incest pandering then you would have been disappointed because its not really present. The current storyline is a very different turn from what was in season. It seems to me that many viewers do not even like Kirino so presumably there are others reasons people watch it.

I for one hope we get Kyousuke x Kirino. It's no Ayase x Kirino but hey, if only too see more overreactions from people. :lol
