Shingeki no Kyojin 3-4

This is perfect. They're doing everything perfectly.

I'm such a fanboy, haha.

One Punch Man sure has some spread page porn going about for it.

I'm amazed Murata was capable of doing 3 chapters of full color spread page porn in the span of a few weeks.

Bakemonogatari 14

Little girl in pajamas, and other things. And we have the cause.

I feel like I should expect the lewd next time.

Oh well, time to finish this up.

Unrelated: Worst lemon squares ever. Didn't stand up to my birthday cake, or other lemon squares for the matter.

I'm also enjoying the irony of Ledo and Chamber's slowly changing relationship. At first, Chamber is the more "human", by virtue of being able to communicate with the people on the fleet. But now the tables are slowly turning, with Chamber expressing no real attachment to the planet and only wanting to continue its mission.

Assuming that they don't even try to deal with the Galactic Fleet/space stuff in the show, a smart writer would have the two characters come to a head by the end of the series, presumably after Ledo realizes that he has been as much of a tool as Chamber.

I can see the point. Chamber is a machine. Machine's don't have personal desires. They follow their own instructed path and whatever they see is logical. Ledo is making the slow transformation from having a hollow, lifeless, robotic personality into having the personality of an actual human being.

It's happy right now in this anime, but it's only a matter of time before this Jenga tower of a conflict that this show is slowly building falls.

Majestic Prince 4

First episode I liked from beginning to end without any qualms or issues. The 5 main characters are all starting to act like humans and have real human thoughts about fighting and their existence. The back story of not only their teacher but the war helps to establish some much needed background. Hope this becomes the standard and the first 2.5 episodes were just a rough opening.

The story for Free! sounds like it will be a really good story.
The story revolves around Haruka Nanase, a boy who has always loved to be immersed in water, and to swim in it. Before graduating from elementary school, he participated in a swimming tournament along with his fellow swimming club members, Makoto Tachibana, Nagisa Hazuki, and Rin Matsuoka. After achieving victory, each of the boys went their separate ways.

Time passed, and in the middle of their uneventful high school lives, Rin appears and challenges Haruka to a match, showing Haruka his overwhelming power. Not wanting it to end like this, Haruka gathers together Makoto and Nagisa once again, and also brings a new member named Rei Ryugazaki to create the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club. Haruka, Makoto Nagisa, Rei, and Rin come together for a story of swimming, youth, and friendship.

My rankings still haven't changed.

Glasses > Brown > Black = Red > Yellow

I like the character bios.
Tatsuhisa Suzuki plays Makoto Tachibana, Haruka's inseparable best friend in 11th grade.
Tsubasa Yonaga plays Nagisa Hazuki, a 10th grader who has a very strong heart, and never has any wavering in his words or actions. An admirer of Haruka's swimming and wanting to swim with him once again, he entered the same school as Haruka was attending.

Mamoru Miyano plays Rin Matsuoka, Haruka's rival who is also in 11th grade

Ill still go with Rin and Nagisa then megane (Rie), Haruka, Makoto.

There's also a question of whether or not Chamber will got all HAL when the time comes (or if it comes, to be fair).

A clever writer might try to twist expectations by having Chamber be the true human being at the end of the series, by circumstance or by choice (say, Ledo choosing to do something that serves the Galactic Fleet but is detrimental to the humans on Earth).

All of that said, it's very possible that all of his handwringing about individuality and choice will be forgotten next week and we'll be back to fighting big breasted pirates in crappy looking robots.

Maybe we'll get lucky and the plot will take an SAO turn where our lead characters just end up having sex for 2 episodes.

LOL That would be awful

Bakemonogatari End

It took some time, but we hit the end point here.

Some quality animation here and there, and he sets off with his other into the sunset.

My thoughts on this, the cuts seem pretty... unique I guess since it's not something I see very often. Interesting background music is used pretty well here, and we have the signature Shaft Head Tilt.

I found this very interesting overall really.

Evangelion 3.33
I guess I'll have to thank AnimeGAF and other places on the internet for almost unanimously calling this bad because it made me go in with tempered expectations. And yet this was still a disappointment.

3.33 feels like an hour and a half long prologue. It didn't work as movie like the first two Rebuilds did. It's clear that things are only just getting started; however, the movie ends
in a similar situation as 2.22's ending set this sequel up to be. With the exception of Kaworu making his impact on Shinji and the revelation that 14 years had passed, not much else had progressed.

Lack of story progression wouldn't have been as big of an issue for me in this if I actually got some good character development, interactions, intrigue, or hell, decent action scenes. Most of the characters feel like shells of their former selves, and things sort of happen with no rhyme or reason.

I was surprised at how Kaworu completely flipped on me and became the one thing about this movie that was going well. The piano scenes really brought some life to the movie for brief moments. I even agree with Haly in that
the big collar explosion scene
was somewhat touching. But it could have been so much more if there was better writing, build up, and basically all the basic things that the movie lacked or did poorly before it!

I'm gonna hope for the next couple years that 3.33 was just a very mediocre and misguided effort. I didn't hate it as I'd be hard pressed to say that I was ever bored watching it. Plus, it did have its moments, as fleeting as they were.

Episode was rather good, I guess. Favorite character and Killing Good so far, Seigi? Piano playing lady was a nice addition though I think the anime makes it quite obvious about the identities of potential Authors and Insteads.
Figured that the end of her song would be one but still having her and the piano tuner, kind of wish they could show up again so we see how it can kill folks
. I feel as if its going to keep introducing characters and just give a really inconclusive end :(

Hence the YOU CAN (NOT) REDO... this is a story of desperation, going in circles until the very last minutes that seem to indicate some character progression. They can't escape from the franchise, as I see it.
