it was stupid the first time.
a lot of ignorance exists about the subject.
gaf is full of hypocrites. Certain things are ok with some groups and thus permissible. Some shitposting is too.
spread the gospel of Show By Rock far and wide!Anime got me out of my shell. It made me more outgoing, outspoken, and confident. I met new friends and connections. Anime is very meaningful to me and my life.
I pretty much stay in community threads and rarely venture out. Its not worth participating.
Gun Glinger Statos Episode 2
Hmmm.... not sure on this one. I like the concept. I do not like the main character or his female friend. I hate that they shoe-horned an f-ing high school into the picture, but it appears that we won't be seeing much of that (And I guess if its a part of the video games, its unrealistic to expect them to deviate from that).
First half of the episode was basically a massive exposition dump laying out the overall plot. Second half of the episode was a lot of talking and nothing meaningful was really said. I was pretty bored by the end.

I like the idea but I don't think the loop itself is great. Whats good about the Miyazaki one is that he's doing something as he talks, rather than being interviewed. Also in the Evilore one his lips are very distinctly saying something other than the text ons screen.

I'm really liking the tone of this show, but the problem remains that it can end in nothing but sadness, someone said it earlier, but he will have to learn how it feels on the other side of what he is doing with Isla, but instead it will be her, tragic and if it is as emotional as that scene in ep.1, I might just tear up a little bit..

Never does Aria fail to put a smile on my face. The moment the music starts playing when presenting a wonder of the world gives me such a rush of emotion. The final scene when they discover the sakura tree in the middle of no where was such a beautiful moment I couldn't help but well up a bit. Sometimes we get lost but find something amazing we didn't intend to find... Just an incredible scene.

The only scene I felt it at first is with that second retrieval. Maybe I set myself in the grandmother's shoes at that moment and the rush of emotions that would come forth during that situation. As a human, knowing that would be the outcome eventually, I don't think I could even sign up to start that relationship to begin with. That same philosophical argument has come up for years; would you want to know the day you will die? What about the day your wife, child, or other family member will? No way could I live like that...
I'm just lucky I read that while I was out shopping with my family and not at my work PC, especially after reading a few of those shit-posts; I literally would have gone off on a tangent and gotten myself banned probably, lol. It was almost felt like hatespeak, prejudice, and racism at the same time, but alas, it was just plain, straight-up ignorance. Just because you dislike a medium, it doesn't mean you get to stereotype those that do. Do you even know me? Oh well, such is the internet where you can hide behind a computer screen and spout nonsense just because with no real-life retribution. Unless you mess with Curt Schilling, of course, lol. I may be new to anime directly, but I've been gaming for more than 25 years now and it's always been around and will continue to be. I can't waive a banner of righteousness for it, but I'm loving my time watching some of the great show. It's all the VITA anniversary PSN sales fault for getting me to watch SAO.. Actually, it was one of ya'lls fault for telling me I had to watch the series to understand the content in the game, lol..
Whilst I haven't seen #2 yet episode one hit me pretty well (and other folks I know). part of it has been dealing with loosing older family members. Certainly for me watching grand parents fade away due to alzheimers and now losing them due to old age, has primed me pretty well for this kind of show to trigger an emotional response pretty easily.

Well, let's just say it's not Madoka, so enjoy the ride. It was a pretty fun story to watch unfold, some very touching moments in this one as well.
I think that guy is just so damaged from past experiences he doesn't notice the obvious in front of him anymore. Maybe he's subconsciously not believing it could ever happen to him.

Another fantastically constructed episode. The episode's focus is foreshadowed by President Maa's inability to climb onto the bed. One of the characters must overcome some obstacle. It turns out Alice still has a hard time interacting with others at school. She is polite and friendly but recoils into her shell when asked to interact with anyone on a more meaningful level. When she is asked to attend a party she immediately declines despite the disappointment from her friends.
Athena the incredibly flaky always seems to have advice when the need is called upon her. You know the episode is reaching it's climax the moment the music kicks in and Athena imparts her wisdom onto Alice. It's incredibly manipulative but it's done so well I can't help but feel enthralled every time it's done. When Alice retreats to her room to think things over she sees President Maa achieve his goal of climbing onto the bed. The episode has now come full circle. With Athena's words and Maa's success Alice now feels she has the confidence to come out of her shell even just a little.
I can't help myself but feel happy after every episode. Alice makes the best faces and the animation when panning over the city during the night was beautiful.

Pretty much this.
In season one she pretty much confessed and he just as subtly rejected her on the basis that he thinks she only has feelings for him because of what happened with her dog, not because she 'really' likes him. So basically, he's not oblivious, he just thinks it is due to pity or a feeling of obligation and thus won't reciprocate. It's a tall hurdle for Yui to overcome (and she probably won't).

best part of Season 1 is the flashbacks that made him this way. He wanted to be normal.

I think it's 50/50 as he has similar reasons to Ebina, part of him thinks it can't happen to him, part of him thinks it shouldn't happen.
I don't really see how either of the groups are fucked up, their explanations to Hachiman while accurate, wasn't the whole story.
Yumiko and Hayama
both said they didn't want their group to change, but both knew about Ebina's feelings/personality and while he's a nice guy, Tobe is fucking dense. So to me their motivations were split 3 ways.. Preserve the status quo/Protect Ebina/Protect Tobe. Without Hachiman's intervention it was a no-win situation for anyone involved.
I love that Yukino is
pissed off/disgusted by Hachiman's methods, before the end of the first season I would have thought it was because he was being a jerk and they simply thought he could be nicer, but Shizuka's explanation that they hate it because it's painful watching someone you care about hurt themselves over and over for other people is touching.
