After two episodes, I can say that Kiznaiver is going to be absolute trash while Tonkatsku DJ Agetarou is set for greatness.

Thinking out loud here, what is the best ecchi show that actually has a decent story and/or is a good/fun watch? (Not named *monogatari)

Decent story? Hmmm...
Have you seen Qwaser?
I hadn't heard of either one of these before.

Go Nagai worked on the anime's scenario along with renowned screenwriter and science-fiction novelist Masaki Tsuji, who wrote the scripts for 35 of the TV series' 39 episodes.

Informal Poll: How many people in this thread have heard of or watched an anime called Urda? If you have, what are your thoughts on it.

Bad start and awful dub aside, this 5 webisode series from 2003 grew on me as I watched it. Each episode seemed better executed than the last as it progressed.

somehow it doesn't surprise me that narag has watched a series no one has ever heard of years ago
Nah, I remember Gundam 00 getting quite it's fair share of discussion back in the day. Like, it wasn't all that popular around when I became a regular here, but it was definitely mentioned here and there.
It had a good first season, a bad second season (save for its first and last episodes), and its movie is my second most hated anime thing after Madoka Rebellion.
He is talking about Urda.
Mawaru Penguindrum [END]
I had some issues with certain plot elements,, but that was an excellent series. Maybe more episodes, to flesh out everything more, or less episodes, to focus on the most central story lines, would be more suited to the show, but the result was acceptable. The strongest point of the show, the relationship between the Takakura family, was presented perfectly, and delivered one breathtaking finale.like the fact that Ringo, the diary and Momoka/Penguin Himari barely played a role at the later part of the series, despite all of them being very important for the conclusion
Outside of the plot, the show was pretty much perfect. I didn't like the artstyle much, but it actually fitted nicely to it and in the end I appreciated it. Moreover, strong imagery and several different visual themes are commonly used, mostly associated with fate, in one way or another. Oh, and great music, that Rock Over Japan song is amazingI hoped the dynamics between Momoka and Sanetoshi would have been explored a lot more, I loved that scene on the library around the middle of the show. Also, the ending really was sad. I mean, everything worked out, and "punishment" was a central theme in the show, but the worst possible thing I could imagine happened. To be honest, it's not completely sad, but I hate this feeling of emptiness that follows this kind of " world resets". Also, no Ringo and Shouma, just when they finally revealed their feeling for each other. :'(.and fitted perfectly at the ending
I'm kinda tempted to try to get into another work of Ikuhara, but I think I'll pass and move to something entirely different. I really don't believe I'll like Utena, despite probably being his best work afaik, and I couldn't get into Yuri Kuma Arashi at all when it aired.
Man, the more I read the My Hero Academia manga, the more sad I am that the anime is only going to be 13 episodes.
The stuff that happens later on in this manga is nothing compared to what the anime can cover in 13 episodes. Especially at the rate it's going.
I really hope it does well enough to get a second season.
kuromukuro - 2
that thing where girls look like they're from different series than every other human being really bugs me here. I guess the character designer was like 'how should they look' and someone else was like 'make them moe' and he was like 'oh i have all this shit from asakura i didn't use.' Not really into any of the characters so far, not a lot of time to get to know them but what's there has been uninteresting. Yukina's mother has promise but I assume she'll be as absent from the spotlight as she was from her children's adolescence.
Is moca news' event list still (as of today) the most complete one for Japanese animation related events? Are you people aware of any other more accurate one updated lately?
