Anyway, do I need to watch the first Bahamut series to enjoy the second one? Are there returning characters or is this a new thing?
P.S. It seems that Akashic Records, Grimoire of Zero and Re:Creators are going to be my keepers this season.

Oh no, is this where it goes? I mean, Ep 1 made it pretty clear that the whole conspiracy, supernatural stuff would be a big part, but I was hoping it wouldn't often be the focus.
The only problem with watching Seven Mortal Sins at work is it might make him too popular with the ladies.

I have to watch it at some point, but it would NOT be at work, lol. It's one of the next ones on my list. I might even watch it through Netflix if it's still there.
Uggh, for now. Hopefully, it is short lived because I would have rather it focused on the old man protecting the girl in his own way (with his granddaughter) and their interactions rather then where they went with this episode...
Hopefully, they can right the ship somehow, but yeah, the supernatural stuff played a huge role in this episode and how the evil adults want to get their hands on her power for their own selfish purposes..

Finishing Golgo 13 TV show have now clear out majority of my put on hold show now (except for Maison Ikkoku which I watch when I have no clue what to watch) and I can go start watching Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. Hope the show is great to watch and will see what my impression of the show when I finish it sometime end of this week.

It's official, we've got a proxy war between Usrsula and Croix on how to revive magic, with Akko in the center. And an actual war that everyone just sort of glossed over. I like how Amanda didn't like Croix's tech since now there isn't much separating magic and science while Hannah and Barbara were enthralled. Nothing from Constanze unfortunately. Diana herself seems neutral, but suspicious. How many people do know Ursula is Chariot? Croix knows, but the other professors either don't know or have no issues bad mouthing a fellow staff member. Can Diana figure it out from the records? Akko was close to figuring out the truth, but not close enough. Will be interesting to see which side she chooses before Ursula reveals herself.

This is really fun to watch! The character interactions just keeps getting me to smile. But more then that the fight scenes looks great(It's no MHA, but still)! That arm wrestling part was so cool!
I guess the negative buzz around the animation/art-style was really just animegaf being it's pessimistic self?

It's not the animation/art style that is the concern, it's the future content of the show......

No I get that it's supposed to get dirty and all, but I clearly remember a few people saying the anime's art-style was an abomination or something along those lines.

My B, I must have missed those posts. I mean, it's nothing special, but it's not bad as far as I can tell.
I assume people are shitting on the anime artstyle because it will never live up to the manga art. Kinda like Berserk, but less despair inducing.
I would post sfw examples, but I'm at work and I'm not googling Tsugumomo at work.

I watched the first half but haven't gone back to watch the second half as of yet.
we haven't gotten to the "controversial" material in the show yet.....
There isn't one to my knowledge, but I'm guessing:
1. The manga gets lewder than TLR
the farther along it goes. We won't be reaching any of the really extreme stuff in the 1 cour this has though.2. The art for the manga is really top notch. Like, I'd put it up there with some of the best manga art out there. Mangaka can make some truly badass and detailed scenery and action scenes. So any jump to animation, especially by a generally unknown studio, would be met with disdain by its fans.

Yeah, literally nobody is shitting on Tsugumomo cause of the art style. The people who keep rightfully warning people or hedging their comments or "being negative" are those who love the manga but realize that sitting inside of it's astonishingly good art and the best fight scenes in manga today are some of the most undefendable and objectionable scenes you can find. The worry from all of us is due to the mangaka saying word for word that he would not draw his manga (which is beloved due to plot and action) if he couldn't make it as porny as he does that the anime would spend what little budget it has not in animating it's incredible fights but accurately detailing labia folds.

Like there comes a point where you have to draw the line, and for me that line is defined as Tsugumomo pretty easily. Nisemonogatari, To-Love-Ru Darkness and straight up porn series like Seikon no Qwaser and Valkyrie Drive fall below it.

This is the worst thing about it. Dude has the talent to go down as one of the best in the industry if he got in touch with a good manga publisher, but he wastes it on his dedication to smut.
