I have missed console jRPGs so much.

Thank god the DS/3DS generation is over. They screwed over console jRPGs so much. An entire generation was lost, but now Square Enix is really bringing it back.

Screwed over LOL? Those were the only platforms (plus PSP and Vita, I dunno why you excluded them) where the expected sales to budget and audience equation all worked out favorably for the developers. Without those platforms, JRPGs would basically not exist for years.
