Just bring A-Life system back
The previous S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games introduced A-Life — a living world simulating system. The reimagined version of this system, which we call A-Life 2.0, will control the state of the world and the behavior of characters and mutants, making the Zone ever-changing and truly alive. Countless events and encounters will happen every moment — even if you are not around to witness them with your own eyes.
Yeah, that's why I decided to put "Microsoft" and not "Xbox" on the title. Its coming out on pc so its not exactly ''exclusive''.
GOG Galaxy supports Gamepass as integrationWhat do you mean exactly? How do you handle DRM and subscription check without a launcher?
So, it will forever be an Xbox + PC exclusive (not Microsoft, because believe it or not, Microsoft does not own the PC platform).
Maybe it really is, and these guys will just never bother with Playstation. That's very likely and fine. The first game never came to Playstation either.
On the other hand, long term timed exclusivity deals do exist.
Remember Cuphead?

Cuphead will never come out on PlayStation 4, its developer has confirmed.www.eurogamer.net
Cuphead
Cuphead is a classic run and gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolour backgrounds, and original jazz recordings. Gamescom 2014: Rise of the Tomb Raider Is a Timed Exclusive on Xbox - IGN
Head of Xbox Phil Spencer chatted about the exclusivity deal regarding Lara Croft's next adventure game, shedding new light on the situation.www.ign.com
This article is dated 8/13/2014
Rise Of The Tomb Raider released 11/10/2015
That's a year and three months of knowing Tomb Raider was timed exclusive before its release date.
"Never" is much longer than 3 years.3 years is a long fucking time.
The exclusivity was only confirmed as timed after pressure on Phil Spencer.
When the game was announced in 2014, the trailer only said "Exclusively on Xbox".
And Cuphead devs said it would never come out on PS4. Both social media and interviews. We knew Tomb Raider was timed over a year before its release. GSC already told you Stalker 2 is releasing only on Xbox consoles through social media. That's where it stands until proven otherwise.

People change their minds all the time. Its good to be flexible because sometimes your first decision isn't always your best. After three years it don't matter anymore. And Cuphead devs said it would never come out on PS4. Both social media and interviews.
And yet, I could play it on my PS4 this summer.

It's a timed exclusive. No point trying to pretend otherwise
Your feelings aren't facts.
I'm a little disappointed as I loved the first game so much. Obviously the nodding community will go bannanas on it though so PC would be the best place for it
Just trying to help you come to terms with it more quickly
there are games on Xbox that support mods already so this might be another one
we have got an official pr statement vs your gut feeling
From a PR guy who's role is just to repeat what's allowed to be said at this point in time since the game was first announced
You'd think you lot would learn already
vs your "opinion" ....hmmmm what is more reliable
Current evidence points to Microsoft part-funding the game, placing it in the second-party tier. So, PS5 will get their STALKER 2 port about the same time they get their Sunset Overdrive port if that's the case. Stay coping.Mate It's a timed exclusive. No point trying to pretend or hope for otherwise

Wow - you read the article, followed the chain of tweets, blog posts, LinkedIn profiles, reddit posts, and theory-craft posted by several online industry speculators, and came to your conclusion, in the sub-two minutes between my post and your reply? Impressive. I'll leave you be; you've got console war-drums to beat, and I'm only wasting your time. There's litterally no evidence of that, like, at all.

I just got INTO Metro and loving it.
STALKER is game series that came before even Metro, yes? I need to take look at games.
I thought they already have like 2 or 3 other sequels to STALKER though?
EA Play is on Steam. It can be done, especially considering all of Microsoft's future games will also release on Steam.
I didn't know that, I stand corrected. I think it would be good for people who absolutely do not want to use the GamePass launcher (you can launch PC gamepass games without the launcher but you need some kind of background service running).GOG Galaxy supports Gamepass as integration
What's more reliable than my words or a PR guy who's just repeating what he's told is precedence, and Microsoft has provided you with dozens of examples with their console launch exclusives
are you seriously asking if some random bloke on internet (you) is more reliable source than actual pr person working at this studio?
Obviously the PR guy that works at the studio. Dude, are you mad? What's more reliable than my words or a PR guy who's just repeating what he's told is precedence, and Microsoft has provided you with dozens of examples with their console launch exclusives

Sergyi (the CEO of GSC) doesn't want to talk much about the game until it enters its final stages of development.
The game doesn't need too much advertisement or PR stuff.
So either you're trolling, or you still didn't read the OP's article. Since you want to crawl back to the backwards compatibility thread where you were wrong - again - I'll reiterate the lesson you still haven't learned: you didn't read anything in that thread, either. This is clearly a pattern for you. You've got a habit of just plugging your ears and screaming "I'm right! I'm right!" post after post. Learn to discuss with people, instead of screaming at them. You just sent me a link to the article that this OP is based on and tell me current evidnce point it to being a sunset overdrive situation.. Fuck out of here with your pseudo-intellectual bullshit.
Remind me when did you use this exact same rhetoric again? Oh right, for playstations backwards compatibility, which you were painfully wrong on that too
It was announced as a console launch exclusive, and like basically all console launch exclusives, they get a playstation port.

But like I said: you're busy, and I'm wasting your time. Keep beating that drum, Sony Solider - you've got a console-war to win.
