Citizencon day 1 is over and there's so much upcoming things for the engine. It was a huge blowout and there's still a day 2 coming.
We don't have direct feed yet so these are taken from stream (you know, never 100% smooth)
The starengine demo. I don't think there's anything comparable out there for the scale of it all. Holy shit.

- Fire simulation and rendering
- Major upgrade for water
- Blood, Sweat and tears
- Scope shader, whole redesign of scopes
- HDR, DLSS2, FSR2, CIG TSR, eventually FSR3 and DLSS3 frame gen
- Future of planets generation
- Vulkan
- RTGI software RT because they want to drop the old cubemap lighting method and go with one GI
- StarCloth / StarHair physics
- Complete overhaul of destruction looked freaking amazing when ships crashed into each others.
- Realistic mode sound effects where in space you don't hear the enemies' ship nor attacks, but what your ship does, what your weapon ouputs and more importantly, when you get hit. It feels eerie and i love it.
