Can assault cruisers use cannons? If not, whatever things give more power to manueverability and beam and projectile attacks I reckon

Only fed cruiser that can use cannons is the Dreadnought and you'll need a specialized build to do that effectively. Klingon battlecruisers, especially the vor'cha variants, can use Dual Heavy Cannons quite well.

I really wish they'd add a "Spinal" set of weapons, for the Galaxy-X, Vorcha, Negh'var and so forth... Massive DPS, teeny-tiny firing arc.

Yeah, but as an equipable item with a weapon slot rather than an innate ability. More weapon choices to craft, more loot, more reward options... you could even have an entire class of ships at various tiers designed around a spinal weapon type.

The biggest problem the game has at the moment is lack of diversification at end-game. If you had ships with turret-only weapon slots, spinal-only slots, more firing arcs beyond "fore" and "aft"... you expand the number of viable ship builds.

There was just a new patch. Seems like they replaced the space PvP queue button in the top right with a Dilithium Store button.

I don't suppose that there's a way to upgrade the ranks of the tactical stations. I lost a few good skills when going from escort to cruiser, such as rapid fire and fire at will and dispersal pattern beta. I should've been more aware of what I was doing.

You can use the Skill Trainer at ESD - he can train your BOFFs in tier 1 & 2 skills for Energy Credits.

Unfortunately you cannot change the ranks of the stations on the ships, you have to find the best combination of skills or train things to match the playing style of the ship and its stations you got.

Anniversary event is going and you can pick up your ships now. The odyssey is pretty sexy of a ship, very tanky though.

Does it have any customization like hulls/nacels/pylons and stuff or is it just the ship as it is? I assume no changeable parts, but I didn't know for sure.

Anyone level 5 or higher and get it, but you can't use it as an actual ship until 50.

I had crazy lag over lunch break. My assignments window had 10 missions that were supposed to be complete and it took about 5 minutes for all the confirmations to come through.

You get the ship by doing a short quest in ESD, anyone can do it as long as you're over level 5. You get an item that gives you it so you can save it for 50.

Q is in the club on ESD.

There aren't any parts to customize on it but you can change the texture/design and windows.

Best change to happen today isn't that though, they switched Field Generators from Engineering to Science. The top end Generators give +35% to Shield capacity on ships and so now you can have both armor resistance and shield capacity on a ship instead of either or.

Sort of - my characters constantly get stuck. I can see stuff going on in the world (and can get attacked) but I can't actually do anything. Rubber-banding.

Sometimes I can play for a few hours, sometimes only 10-15 minutes.

Never happened to me like this in a MMORPG

How does the Odyssey Token work? Do you use it to unlock the option to buy it? Or do you trade it directly for the Odyssey? Can you only buy it or unlock it once you're 50? If you're not 50, do you just keep the item in your inventory?

To add to this, does it unlock it for all your characters, or just the one who did the quest? IE if i made a character after the event, would i never be able to get it on that character?

You need to be an Admiral, participate Special Task Forces to fight the Borg, gain Borg Encrypted Data Chips or Borg Salvage, go to Deep Space Nine, find the M.A.C.O. or Omega Force team and give them that stuff to claim stuff like Assimilated Borg Tech for your ship

When I first saw the Enterprise-E I thought it was so elegant and sleek and awesome looking. And now the Odyssey just puts it to shame. More elegant, sleeker, and with all these sexy curves in all the right places ;D

I don't think he was referring to specifcally the Odyssey ship but new ships in general when you hit Vice Admiral on the F2P is a no, but gold members probably would.

This doesn't go into maintenance every day at 12 midnight Pacific, does it? Seems kind of an odd time to do it, right when I'm sure a lot of people are playing...

It's interesting to see the Dilithium/C-Store points market. When I started right when F2P hit, it was trading for about 275-280 dilithium for 1 point. This morning it was down to 208:1. I'm curious how much more this will drop. When do people who subscribe get their stipend? Dependent on their subscription payment time or does everyone get it at a set day on the month? Was wondering if this was an aberration because everyone has extra points to burn all at once and that was driving the price down or if the market is just falling that far.

I think everyone just gets permission to buy new ships at 50. No one actually gets a free ship like the previous milestone levels.

I have been doing the Klingon War Zone fights. Ridiculous XP and you can get some useful ship items.

And don't forget that you can also take a mission from someone on K7 so that you get 1440 dilithium ore for every three war zones you complete. I forgot what rank you have to be to accept them, but as soon as you complete your third war zone, you can just go back to K7, get your ore and then start the mission again.
