DL 44 is broken on PC too, as I stated on the post above.Matchmaking certainly seemed to have gone a little funky last night. They're really going to want to address that asap.
Barrage was a bit overpowered but it's now been nerfed so hard that it's become a bit worthless. I'm glad they seem to have made the grenades weaker across the board though - I even found that impact grenades seemed to take slightly longer to actually throw last night? I think I might switch back to the bowcaster.
I'd still be interested to hear if anyone on pc thinks the DL-44 is broken. I'm becoming more and more convinced it's an issue on console because of the exaggerated snap-to aim assist people have mentioned. I rarely die to it on pc and when I do it seems to be to headshots.

I'm over 60 hours in now on the full game and feel like I've only died to it a handful of times. I seem to die more often to that big long range slow firing gun... t21b? Whatever gun it was I hated using it myself, so more power to whoever does use it!
IT certainly is. Even without cheesing it I regularly get 4000-8000 points without getting the hero and matches are short too.I feel you. I must admit to likely having done a couple of rams myself around level 39/49. Flight squadron is just the best for xp and cash.
Good that free DLC is causing a rift in the player base already, should be even better when the paid stuff hits...
I'm still enjoying the game, but couldnt get a match the other night, just kept putting me into empty games and never adding enough people.

Can someone please explain to me how Turning Point works? I'm having a blast but have no idea what's happening. What is the bar at the top showing, with red and blue slashes and dots? What does the #x mean above the checkpoints? Do any of them even matter besides the last one? Why am I guarding a spot only to be told we've lost another and it's over for all of them?
Sorry for the probably stupid questions. This is my very first online multiplayer game and it doesn't explain itself very well sometimes. I think the expectation is that all of this is common knowledge, which is kinda silly given the casual audience they seem to be going for.
Edit: also, is there some hidden practice mode for ships? I haven't played the fighter mode because I'm fucking awful just grabbing one in Walker Assault or TP and I know I'll get slaughtered.

Turning Point really loses its charm when you get to the last control point. It just descends into unfun chaos of Rebels and Imperials just throwing waves of bodies at each other and repeatedly dying.
hssshhh! i want to get to level 50 before they nerf the Air Superiority mode! easily the fastest mode to leveling up as games are fast and usually get that 10k points if you can grab a hero ship right at the beginning.
You definitely get a shot of xwings, snowspeeders with tow cable takedown and speederbikes in the training missions. I think you get a shot of tie fighters too, can't remember for sure on interceptors or a-wings.
Is it just me or do different weapons lasers also have different speed/travel time?
I swear the pistol shots are faster than the others.
For shits and giggles I tried the game at 4K with 200% resolution scaling and -3.0 mip map to sharpen up textures. Ran at like 1 frame per 5 seconds. Here's a cropped sample of the full image on Endor.
The Jakku map is fucking incredible looking, these guys are wazards.
And my god dl44 is just an abomination, it is the only thing people use and I keep getting 1-2 shotted. Damn rank 23...
Certain things feel off after the patch.. still doing well, but I have seen a shit ton of T-21s pop up.
- My EE-3 and explosive shot seem nerfed. I have had to pump 3 shots up close into someone with it, definitely not as strong as it was.
- E-11 still seems random as fuck. I get two shotted by it, I pick it up myself and it turns into a straight up pea shooter.
- Imperials still have virtually no chance to win on Endor, no idea if changes were made on Endor but I did manage to get to tier 3 a couple of times today and that's more than I have been in tier 3 since launch.
- Sullust suddenly became way too easy to win for the Rebels. Interceptors to tier 1, fighters to tier 2.
Kinda amazing that they decided to give Imperials an even more difficult time than before.

Aaaaaand Hoth is ruined too. Seems like no more interceptors at tier 3, have fun getting dunked in tier 3 in any map now. You get useless AT-STs instead! Meanwhile Rebels just towcable and A-wing strafe you to death.

I don't know how the DL-44 and A wings remained unscathed while they hit Barrage.

It's best if you can hold your target lock on them and worry them into using up their air maneuver first, before you fire. You can tell if they've used it cause you'll lose lock for a couple of seconds then get it again. Good pilots won't use it until they see the missile is incoming though.
With their shields it really isn't anywhere near as effective versus rebels though. Locked torpedos can still be avoided with good flying too, ducking into a canyon etc. - You can still pester them in order to waste their ship time, but you waste your own time too. I think if there are 2+ of you playing together with ion torpedos it'd be pretty easy to work together to bring down ships by staggering your cooldowns.
So do you think he is correct about this stuff, or is it really much less impactful than he seems to be making it?
Empire loses on virtually every map now. What the fuck Dice..
