Why? Why in 2023 it's so hard to make something that is actually WORKING. If I was that incompetent at my job, I'd be fired in two days.

It's a common issue. I know a guy who was on the q&a team for the app, they reported a ton of issues, and almost none of them were fixed. Welcome to modern developers.
 
So day 1 patch comes tomorrow? I'll wait for impressions. As long as this game has screen tearing im not touching it. VRR on PS probably wont help since it drops below 48 fps

if we assume the performance is the same, which would mean drops down to 40fps according to some reports on PS5, then Xbox...
unless you do not have a 120hz VRR TV, in which case I think it won't really matter

then the Xbox is the safest bet, unless it's way worse than the PS5 version...
it seems to be ok enough tho according to that one guy who tested the PC version and had access to the Xbox version, which according to him was decent.

When a dev has to make a statement such as "don't worry patches are planned for the coming weeks" ...

That means the game is in exceedingly BAD shape. They wouldn't have had to make that statement otherwise.

Unbelievable how there's really no limit towards how low the bar is allowed to drop.

Where is Sony and MS? They're supposed to step in to maintain SOME degree of quality on their storefronts. This is another example of how unethical AAA gaming is and how almost every big youtube channel that gets invited to preview events and subsequently gets a review copy are SHILLS.

Sick of it.

First of all I can tell based on watching 10 seconds of that video that he's playing on a high end PC. Secondly, how many times have reviewers glossed over the true performance of a game. 90% of the time ...so could be a framedrop every 10 seconds which would result in an unstable game.

I tried everything but nothing fixed the error. And the best part? I wanted to do a clean install and even uninstalling this crap seems complicated. It's been like this for 10min:

Eh, there are still people with different experiences. I'd just say wait until launch, watch streams, and see it for yourself before pitchforking. Not saying that poor performance should be accepted or common, it shouldn't. But if a game is being patched on release, and it actually helps, then all the hoopla doesn't really matter.

Unless the game receives a shitstorm from players/media like Cyberpunk, they wont do shit.
 
I have an interest in it. Bought Fallen Order twice and never got around to finishing it though. May wait for a sale. I'm in Zelda mode.
 
It'll take me a sec to actually get the game since I dont have a ps4 yet so I'm not concerned about bugs on release. These are complex programs and bugs will happen with literslly any new software release.

Hopefully they get them fixed because I'm expecting the full game to be amazing..

It's terrible. I only have been using it ever for Fallen Order for the first time the last couple of weeks. Most of the time it won't load, gives me random sync errors, have to try to open the game several times before it decides to launch. I absolutely hate it. Bought through Steam but still have to use this absolute trash. I just turn it to offline mode immediately and that seems to help.

Star Wars Galaxies was the best Star Wars game ever made. I unlocked one of the first handful of jedi's. The experience of being one of a handful of jedi in a online star wars game with millions of players was one of a kind. You were hunted and if you died you would lose like twenty hrs of playtime so you had to play smart. A few times in a Star port I would flash my light saber and people would freak out. Even playing a BH and hunting jedi was a so much fun. I had a character that had a shop and players would wait outside my shops doors for hrs for new items for sale. I was a Doctor as well giving buffs and I would be in a city with a line of hundreds of players waiting for there turn for buffs. I had all characters because I was trying to unlock my force slot. There was rumor you had to master every class and I went for it.

Didn't play it, I did a quick search, something from 2003 or so and I may be wrong, but is is mmo? But yeah, massive respect for considering it to be that good.

No idea, as it seems to be random but it's related to the launcher himself, not the subscription.
I fixed it by installing Origin, then when you launch it it says you need to use the EA app. He then prompt you to uninstall or repair and I did the uninstall. It worked after that. Once done, you can reinstall properly (after a restart).

Yes it is tedious.

Are the visuals completely fucked for anyone else? I can't see anything that's happening, everything is black with the HDR in. Sliders are pretty standard, what is happening lol

Game looks and plays phenomenal. But damn is the framerate choppy on PS5… there is also noticeable screen tearing. I thought these days are over

Thanks, though I ended up buying on steam only after trying to pay for EA Pro with 3 different credit cards. All declined saying 'suspicious' transaction. Even Customer care couldnt help. Never had that happened to me before. Steam went through in an instant.

Hate to say I told you so, but here we are.

Just like the review thread, I mentioned how we were surprised at how many sites just flat out ignored the tech issues and handed out 9's and perfect scores. The game is fun, don't get me wrong, but the tech issues are there. The fact that Respawn has already announced multiple patches are on the way means they know about the issues.
 
I dont really get ea, it's not like there was any rush to get this title out. Now it just suffers from poor word of mouth due to technical issues.

They are not going to stop releasing these games broken until they start getting hit with lawsuits.

You can't charge someone full price for a broken product then have them wait weeks to get it fixed. Makes no sense and didn't this game get delayed to prevent these issues?
 
Loved the first one and already love this one, even though it has its performence issues. Now off to work, then home and play and drink some beers, life is good.
 
Another broken AAA $70 game. Guess I'll just buy Benedict Fox and Shadows of Doubt with the cash. Long live indies. Maybe Live a Live on Steam.

Edit: ….and Bramble the Mountain King. Damn what a game so far!

Game looks great so far and much better than the first game but it is choppy stuttering mess when there is more than one enemy on the screen, performance is severely lacking on ps5

Sony and MS only cares about your money, not your feelings. They wont block this big AAA title from sale because its unfinished.
