This one is set at the same time as Mando and connects to whatever Filoni is doing in his Thrawn movie.

Well, whatever happens with Thrawn will have ZERO impact on the world. There will be no new jedi popping up. No significant change in the Alliance/New Republics slow decline, nothing alters the residual Empires conversion to The First Order. We know this because they are continuing with Rey, So whatever Thrawn does has to either happen waaaaay off stage or it ends in a whimper so weak that just a few years later everyone is totally blase about the First Order running around as "no big deal". There are like three closed loop systems (PT/OT/ST) that Lucasfilm keeps picking at but we know are sancrosanct. The only things that work well are things that play DIRECTLY into it like Rogue One or Mando s1. Later mando with all this mandalore stuff is pointless because we know Mandalore ain't gonna rise again.
Anyway, cautiously optimistic for Skeleton Crew though I don't think it's gonna be that good. My kid is going through Bad Batch for like the 5th time to finish out the show and WOW is that a breath of fresh air after these recent live action shows (Andor excepted). Wish they had spent that Acolyte money on a BB movie. But we'll see if he can take SC. He just went through the MCU through Endgame for about the 5th time [mostly, he skipped Marvel, AM, and Ultron]) but he tried The Marvels for the first time and noped out in the first 5 minutes during the cartoon stuff. So if Disney wants boys to watch this stuff they gotta go hard early on and I'm not sure SC is gonna do that. If we get a bunch of girls talking he will punch out.

Like all things star wars I'm expecting a streaming pile of shit.
I know everyone clings onto Andor, but sometimes there's nugget in a pile of shit.
How many episodes in until famous cameo number 1 appears or the final episode ends with memberberries character number 2.

I think this drops tonight! If it does, will watch with the kids.
Though hearing this is yet another "movie turned into a series" makes me fear it will have excess draggy bits as the concept can't sustain the run time, much like Obi-wan.

It's hard to find good kid actors let alone great ones.
The writing and their chemistry is also important.
I'm not expecting good stuff like The Goonies, Stand by Me, Stranger Things or individual talent like Corey Haim or that little fucker I hated so much in The Babadook but we'll see.

It's explained. The planet has a barrier around it. Starships are banned there, no one leaves. The kids never even saw stars before. It's been completely cut off and isolated from the rest of the galaxy. Wim had mint condition "Old Republic" credits, which means the planet has been isolated from the rest of the galaxy for thousands of years. That's how an El Dorado or Atlantis style myth forms.

Fuzzball is literally in the second episode. So that’s one character from EO in the show. George Lucas wrote and produced EO (and Coppola directed it).
At some point after the Sequel Trilogy, Wim and Neel get their own ship and set out to save the galaxy with music!

I don’t dislike some of Snyder’s work, but I could not be bothered to watch Rebel Moon. Like what’s the point of all these characters joining the crew, which apparently takes up most of Part 1 to accomplish, if they apparently fade to the background after they’re introduced? Just keep it to four, maybe five tops, heroes if Snyder was that bad at balancing character focus with such a large crew.
300 had boobs and graphic violence and is legit a solid film (even if their downfall could have been delayed far longer had the main guy told that one hunchback guy, “hey, we can’t fit you into our formation due to the numbers, BUT you are free to stand nearby and fight near us. You will likely die extremely fast due to being exposed, but if that is how you choose to live, far be it from me to deny you your choice.” There, no being a pointless dick to the guy which leads to a betrayal that leads to your fall in battle).
But to be fair to Snyder, I assume this detail was from the original comic.
Sucker Punch probably had boobs but by the time they were on screen I’m sure my soul had left my body temporarily to escape such a bland experience. I know it has its fans, but I could not get into that movie at all.
I know KyoZz said he hasn’t even seen Rebel Moon and even that he heard it sounded bad, but I also definitely remember the way he fanboyed for Snyder in terms of DC discussions. I don’t even dislike some of what Snyder did in DC (but I definitely wasn’t big on all of it), but I’m up for any good director adapting the comics, and feel some of the Snyder fans need to chill in that department.

I saw both Rebel Moon now (the director's cut) and OMG it's bad. First part is something like a 5/10 and the second part is 3/10. Those 2 movies are the worst stuff Snyder made. I'm not a fanboy, if I think something is bad I will say it.
But I will always defend what he did with DC. Always. I loved MoS, BvS and ZSJL. Not to mention that there is a difference with you saying "I don't like this and that" which is totally fine. Mana is a troll and, for example, said prior the release of ZSJL that it was just as bas as the 2017 cut, but longer. He has so much bad faith that yes I will call him out at any occasion I see fitting.

Ephialtes was a real historical figure who betrayed the Spartans. Of course, 300 is a fantasy adaptation of history, but it would not be in character for the Spartans to be polite with someone like that. They are famously laconic hardasses who only respect strength. A weak, incapable man would not deserve to fight alongside them.
