Wow I just watched the ending. What a bunch of bullshit.
Jay-B said:Nope, less than 5 hours.
(This dude was streaming the game a few moments ago.)
Also, the story is really bad.
JdFoX187 said:Hearing five hours is a little disappointing, but I'm still not convinced the game was played on a very difficult setting. I didn't expect the game to be terribly long either. But if it's anything like the first, the different powers and such should give a nice boost to replay value, as long as there are no completely infuriating encounters like the first area of the Death Star. Has anyone heard if there's New Game+ in the sequel?
Yep, you can see both on youtube. The Bookerman said:2 endings confirmed?
As I said, unless the encounters are just flat out bullshit, like some in the original game, there should be plenty of replay value. I went through the first game three or four different times, even with the annoying shit like the hangar bay of the Death Star.netguy503 said:There is video proof on the last page if you need it. Sheesh guys. He was playing on medium. You are right there is probably a Sith Lord you unlock after Hard (like the first game) but a good game shouldn't need such gimmicks to prolong it's life. And I was such a supporter of this game (and thread) before this.

Willy105 said:THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST GAMES I HAVE HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF KNOWING OF IT'S EXISTENCE.
It's the shortest expansion pack I have ever seen. Is this a joke? I think the expansion pack for the first game was longer than this. It definitely had the same number of levels.
The story is so short it could be told in one episode of the Clone Wars. In fact, this deserves to be on that show, because it certainly isn't worth $60. Or $10.
Not only that, the game is awful. It's a pain to play, wave after wave of enemies and button mashing. Power-ups are totally pointless for a game only 20% longer than Star Fox 64.
And even though most of this game has the greatest graphics I have ever seen in a videogame, the graphical glitches are horrendous. There are various times when the skybox disappeared, animations were missing, and just plain old bad stuff.
I always thought you were supposed to build upon previous generations, not have the best of his gen (shaders) and the worst of the PS1/N64 gen (craftmanship).
Heck, I don't remember Super Mario 64 having a skybox that popped in and out in random shots.
Also, the music is completely recycled from the first game, I did not hear anything new in this game at all. It was all just tracks from TFU1's OST and the OST of the movies cut and mixed together. At least the Clone Wars has it's own original score, no matter how bad the music is.
It's a game, not a movie. Watching the whole thing online should not be that big a deal, because the fun is in playing it. If watching someone else play it ruins the game for you, then you might as well get the novelization.
brandonh83 said:At this point I'm just curious as to how bad the story is. Usually I don't really let such things get to me in a videogame but it seems very unanimous. I'll still give it a rental but it sounds like they dropped the ball big time.
Shame, too, because these games had a lot of potential.

In 2004 they brought a new manager in who decided that big Star Wars games were going to stop being made by other studios with a new focus on the internal studio. I guess they make more money that way.Willy105 said:They do it all the time. You think Lucasarts makes most of these games?
For the past decade, most have been outsourced, including Bioware for KOTOR.
And then they fired most of the TFU team, twice. And they were probably like: "We get half a job, you get half a game" :lolangelkimne said:In 2004 they brought a new manager in who decided that big Star Wars games were going to stop being made by other studios with a new focus on the internal studio. I think the last time we got a big Star Wars game developed by someone other than LucasArts was Empire at War, and that was ages ago.

its just common star wars mega-fanboy snobbery, nothing new. When something doesnt go as they expect it to, it immediately sucks and they discredit it.canova said:well you made the OT, I thought you were excited about it. but now you trashed it

Geez, this game is going from "Getting the LE" to "Not sure if I'm buying" really fast.
:lol
I tried the demo and came to the same conclusion. The controls somehow feel nicer but the game looks less polished. Might just be the demo factor?BattleMonkey said:Dont know, seemed better. If anything I think it was a bit floaty and overdone in the first game, they might have toned it down to be less crazy this time around?
