Just because its the release build doesn't mean the game can't get patched between then. I really hope they add AA for launch. Forcing it didn't have any performance drop for me.

Are the companions always assigned to you or do you have options later in the game to hang with different dudes/gals?

There's no AA? Sure seemed like it to me when I played. Maybe I somehow forced it, but it certainly looked like AA.

Wish you could mute companions, I got bored of Mako and switched to 2V-R8 for a bit and he spammed the same line of dialogue every 5 seconds when fighting.

These are your companions for life. One companion at a time, so if you're asking about switching companions, yes.

Each class gets 5 companions with the prospect of more companions (notice HK-47 type companion will be available for all).

Dear god is the information on that page old, outdated and largely wrong. The listing of what companions are for who is just about the only thing correct on it. Their icons for the characters are beyond ancient too. Nadia for example looks much better than she did back then.

It's a bug. I don't know if it's been fixed yet, but I think I saw a patch note about it.

Yeah, I still use it to follow some details. Most of the gift stuff still applies.

I don't want to spoil the story stuff for myself, but is SCORPIO as awesome as she sounds? I know she's a tank also.

It's going to be tough choosing between her and Doctor Lorkin.

So Ashara is the new bioware forum romance option obsession, right?

Still undecided on what class i will play at launch. Played both BH and SI a little during the beta weekend and liked both. BH probably edged it just a little for me but I have a feeling that a lot of people will play BH and I don't want to be the most popular class.

I also want to know if it's possible if BH can ever be a main tank or main healer as I'd like to be a class that is needed often.

There are no off tanks or off healers. Tank or Heal away!

As long you don't pick a Jedi/Sith you are most likely not going to play the most popular class.

Yeah, I thought BH was going to be more played, but going into huttball with only one BH out of both teams... yeah.

Looks like it's BH for me then, I loved the storyline of what I played and I hope it gets even better than that. Of course, Mako helps even more :p

I will probably roll smuggler and bounty hunter...smuggler cuz I like the gunslinger class, and bounty hunter cuz I like the mercenary class and invested too much time into it to not find out what happens next....

Plus...dual pistols for the win!

Fuck, my SATA power adapter ended up being the same cable as I got from Samsung and my SSD still can't be installed :(

Guess beta will be on normal HDD while I try to figure out what cable I need for the SSD

Ehhh, they kinda are in a way. The weapons still look like ass. There are some graphic settings missing as a whole. Shadows only has a Low setting so that could explain why people are saying it runs better. Because it does with Low shadows. There another patch at all coming by tomorrow or something?

Listening to some impressions of the end-game raids, and I'm hearing it's pretty easy, which is disappointing. Not just "normal" mode, but it seems "hard" mode isn't that hard either. Dev's were kinda alluding to it before, but I was hoping it wasn't true. If there's no challenge, there's no way I'm going to be invested in the game that long.

Because the males look like shit... I pretty much never roll females in MMOs, but I'm considering it. On the other hand, males get to be Spike Spiegal.

Male voice actor is better. Not a very consistent quality to the voice acting on the player characters really. Female Imperial Agent and the female Smuggler stood out as being substantially better than the other stuff I tried.

I would argue that a lot of current end-game raid testers are probably hardcore MMOers to begin with so they probably find the raids a lot more easier than WoW hard modes.

That is possible, though the Devs themselves were making statements a while back like "being able to jump into raid as soon as you ding 50, no gear requirements etc." and "voice communication will not be required to complete raids". Makes me wonder how accessible they wanna make end-game. I'm all for having end-game accessible to more people, but there should still be some effort made to complete it... no hand-holding, no catering to the lowest denominator.

That's something that WoW would do that irked me. They would eventually nerf all the content so everybody would go through it. And before somebody complains they can't play 24/7, I was in a guild that only raided two days a week and we would eventually be able to go through all the content... not as fast as the hardcore guilds, but on our own time, without help or nerfs. I fear SWTOR is going to take the WoW approach x2.

Anyways, I guess we'll find out in a couple weeks what's up. No use speculating on it now.
