I think I may have a prolem with my early access. I pre-ordered back in july and entered my code and all that. I assumed everything was fine until I checked the code redemption page back at the end of november to see that no code was registered. Now that i've redone it, its now showing up as 21st november which is going to affect when my early access starts, right?

Do you think theres anything I can do, I still have my order confirmation if that will help at all?

Story lines and quests. Jedis I found very boring vs sith I found interesting and far more dynamic.

It will affect when you get in at this stage but there isn't much you can do about it.

I saw one on Taris during the beta, aside from parachuting in from space I couldn't figure out how to get to it, lol

Aaaah... yeah. That's how it is.

I think evil is pretty much a feature for this game. Nothing other MMOs have. That's why evil storylines are better.

Have you tried Dark Side Jedi?

I only got to lvl 10 on the jedi and then rolled IA. I just couldnt take it anymore. Even darkside jedi just came off as lame. I enjoyed the gameplay but without the interesting stories it just became a grind.

I just realized that my old Windows XP system with Geforce 7800 meets the requirements to play this game.

Anyone actually had luck getting through to Bioware support on the phone?

First call 50 minute wait, hung up

Second call 1h25m wait...hung up

Now calls just don't go through because they are too busy and they hang up on you.

Been trying to unlock my account for THREE FUCKING DAYS

EDIT: After trying to log in again...if fucking worked. I guess they got tired of my emails

I seriously hope there are no actual problems at launch, because the customer support is seriously lacking.

I'm sure they want to be like WoW in the appeal department. If only really high end computer could play the game, they'd be losing half the population of potential customers. By making it look good, but on low engine specs, they can open it up to more people.

The account was locked out with a message to call support. Tried numerous times over 3 days.

Account is unlocked now, either because of a lock out time period...or the emails I sent.


While browsing the Guild import FAQ I read this

We also cannot take responsibility for technical errors or glitches that prevent your guild from importing into the game as planned.

So it states in the pre-load game client area of the TOR website that:
"Early Game Access* for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ is only a few days away! Starting December 13, 2011, The Old Republic will begin emailing invitations to start your Early Game Access."

This wording is misleading. It makes it sound like early game access could start as early as the 13th, but the way it's worded kind of makes it sound like the invites are just going to start going out on the 13th. In other areas of the site it says "Pre-order the game and play up to 5 days early!" which would clearly be the 15th, not the 13th.

So does anyone know DEFINITIVELY if the first day of early access is the 13th or the 15th? Because I need to figure out which day to take off of work...

Definitively Early Access starts the 13th, and you won't be notified by e-mail until the day that your Early Access starts.

Early game access begins on the 13th, but invites will be done in waves, based on when the pre-order code was entered. They will send you the e-mail on the day you are invited.

Man, I get emails from them late or whatever. So I'll probably be executing the client every 5 minutes at 5 in the morning. I put my code in right after I pre-orded the moment it went live. So in theory, I believe I'll be in on the 13th early access. Meh, I don't know if I'll get to play much that day. I'm just in to get the names I want from the start.

I pre-ordered digitally and added early access code like 10 minutes after it was available, safe to say I will be pissed if I don't get in on the 13th XD.

Yeah honestly I just want to ensure my characters get my desired names. I registered my preorder code July 23 so I think I'll be safe for the 13th.

I thought it was 7 days early for super duper deluxe edition, 5 days early for kinda deluxe, and 3 days early for standard? I thought this was spelled out on the pre-order page? Why all the mystery?

None of those things have ever actually been on the pre-order page. I'm not really sure why you think that to begin with.

Sometime between the 13th and the 19th, you will receive an email sometime in the next week to confirm your day and start time.

Its now based on when you redeemed your code, earlier Bioware had made a statement about CE getting in longer than Deluxe but that was not official (same with the grace period as Bioware had said there would be one but EA has since decided no)

It sounds like from the Mod system you will have a number of different looks available to you at max level. But yeah, those shoulders are fugly.

Have you seen the raid gear it is all pretty ugly. To be fair I guess it is unofficial.

Though it looks like the pics suffer from the texture bug, all the classes look pretty bad from the screens I saw. Imperial agent gear @ 50 looks like some weird cyborg ninja uniform.

It all looks pretty terrible. Those horns!

As far as their reason for no match to chest-piece... pretty terrible reasoning in my opinion. Not because it's buggy but because they felt essentially boots would all look the same? Who..cares?
