who is the group playing?
EDIT: So Code A is no really just a group stage qualifier into the Ro32 Code S? It is not a full tournament for itself anymore?
Code A is basically identical to Code S now.
Yeah, just saw that. Disappointing if true, the bracket looked really good.Apparently that korean qualifier will not have Kespa players?
Today's schedule
Group 2
Liquid'HerO
STLife
mYiKane
soLGuitarcheese
Here are the order of the games for today, starting at 10AM EDT.
Game 1 - Hero vs Life
Game 2 - Kane vs Guitarcheese
Game 3 - Hero vs Kane
Game 4 - Life vs Guitarcheese
Game 5 - Life vs Kane
Game 6 - Hero vs Guitarcheese
We won't be playing any unnecessary games if they have no meaning/impact on the rest of the tournament.
If there is a 3-way tie, map score will determine who advances. If map scores are tied, we'll do a coin flip to find out which two players have to do a sudden death bo1 match for advancement. Both players will veto to one map, with top seed vetoing first.

Tournament Playlist
All of the songs I'm using for the intermission and intro for my tournament are fan created and submitted for my Composition Challenge series. This is the current one I have up at the moment if you're interested, and it contains a link to the first one to explain what it's all about. Here are some links to the individual songs if you're looking for any. Conversely, you could also just type in "!song" during the stream to get the currently playing song along with a link to the song.

All VoDs will go onto Youtube immediately following the days games. I'll be attaching replays to each of the VoDs as well.
NOT. LOVERS.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was seriously impressive, god damn.
Yeah I think the game is in a good state right now, much better than it was in the ~6 months following blizzcon last year.Maybe it's because I've been out of the scene for a long time but SC2 is so fun to watch again.
GUYZ, DL YOUR GAF TOURNY GAMES BEFORE TWITCH DELETES THEM!
I think most of them are backed up on blip.tv anyway...
With iem toronto i might just delay my flight back home
How much is the tickets? Im afraid its gonna cost me too much
Balance is in a pretty good state right now, though the game has lost popularity largely because of how shitty the meta was for a while after blizzcon. You can watch GSL on twitch for free though not at a great quality. Couple terrans and protoss playing tonight in code s actually. Think the sub there is $20 for the season.Sup bros, long time no see. Thinking about making my return. What has changed in SC2 lol. Gained/lost popularity, how is zerg doing, is GSL free yet, etc.
My friend just bought sc2
Im not gonna teach him fucking protoss
Fuxk lets see if i can do something about my tickethttp://fanexpocanada.com/tickets/
Sat/Sun, what I'm planning on doing is $90. Buying the FanExpo tickets gets you in from what I've seen and been told!
Going to get a hotel on Sat night, watch some sc2 all day saturday, eat some delicious food on saturday night and finish with some good games on Sunday hopefully. EXCITED
You move you super mobile bullshit army into a location you want to thrust your giant Auir balls then run away with minimal damage.how do you counter mass widow mine/tank as protoss?
i guess this is kind of a vague question, but i've been playing T vs my friend's P and since my main is P I'm also interested in the answer to this question. I'm gold on current ladder, and he's about the same. I watched this video and I tried my own noob version of this strat and it was pretty effective.
what's the counterplay to widow mines in general? Like in BW how you would use zealot bombs (zealots dropped from shuttle on top of tank line) as counter play vs. mine/tank.

Also the proleague grand final is in two days. Lots of good players in it; Flash, Soulkey, Rain, soO, Parting, Zest, etc. That'll be a good one to watch.
Fuxk lets see if i can do something about my ticket
Hopefuly *fingerscrossed*
Has it gotten more or less popular in Korea?
Seems like Blizzard still hasn't found a way to attract casual players in the US either. Back in the BW days I spent years playing BGH maps before getting more serious. With SC2 I was laddering (diamond) from the first beta until I stopped playing about a year and a half ago. Just lost interest in the metagame but also the lack of fun shit to do outside of laddering. I remember when SC2 was more popular than LoL streams, and while I understand it was never going to defeat a f2p game long term in terms of popularity, Blizz could have done a lot better at selling the game to people who don't ladder, and keeping it fresh for people like myself who ladder but also want some other stuff to do.
I also stopped watching pro matches due to the meta game, but I'll get back into it now.
SC2-GAF nights still a thing?
Proleague still gets good crowds most nights, and GSL gets good turnout depending on the group. Not sure about numbers for streaming or TV though.Has it gotten more or less popular in Korea?
SC2-GAF nights still a thing?
Did anybody just watch that slow long, spire crawler rush ZvZ in this Taiwan tournament? lol.
