If there is a 3-way tie, map score will determine who advances. If map scores are tied, we'll do a coin flip to find out which two players have to do a sudden death bo1 match for advancement. Both players will veto to one map, with top seed vetoing first.

Going to get a hotel on Sat night, watch some sc2 all day saturday, eat some delicious food on saturday night and finish with some good games on Sunday hopefully. EXCITED

Balance is in a pretty good state right now, though the game has lost popularity largely because of how shitty the meta was for a while after blizzcon. You can watch GSL on twitch for free though not at a great quality. Couple terrans and protoss playing tonight in code s actually. Think the sub there is $20 for the season.

Also the proleague grand final is in two days. Lots of good players in it; Flash, Soulkey, Rain, soO, Parting, Zest, etc. That'll be a good one to watch.

i guess this is kind of a vague question, but i've been playing T vs my friend's P and since my main is P I'm also interested in the answer to this question. I'm gold on current ladder, and he's about the same. I watched this video and I tried my own noob version of this strat and it was pretty effective.

what's the counterplay to widow mines in general? Like in BW how you would use zealot bombs (zealots dropped from shuttle on top of tank line) as counter play vs. mine/tank.

You move you super mobile bullshit army into a location you want to thrust your giant Auir balls then run away with minimal damage.

Drop harass. I'm assuming they're going Mech which Stalker/Immortal/Archon and either Void Rays or Colossi depending on if they go mass Viking or not is probably your best bet. Hellbats completely destroy Zealots which is why you only want to use them for harass. If the game goes really late Tempests are great if unscouted (and even scouted if you have air control).

Paralyze probably played the worst Code S game ever in game 1. His reaction was hilarious. Haven't seen a TvP go that late as it did in game 2 in awhile but Cure never had his economy hurt at all except for by Phoenix's once. He was able to constantly make units and eventually starved him out.

Seems like Blizzard still hasn't found a way to attract casual players in the US either. Back in the BW days I spent years playing BGH maps before getting more serious. With SC2 I was laddering (diamond) from the first beta until I stopped playing about a year and a half ago. Just lost interest in the metagame but also the lack of fun shit to do outside of laddering. I remember when SC2 was more popular than LoL streams, and while I understand it was never going to defeat a f2p game long term in terms of popularity, Blizz could have done a lot better at selling the game to people who don't ladder, and keeping it fresh for people like myself who ladder but also want some other stuff to do.

I also stopped watching pro matches due to the meta game, but I'll get back into it now.

Proleague still gets good crowds most nights, and GSL gets good turnout depending on the group. Not sure about numbers for streaming or TV though.

I play with other GAF people sometimes but a full GAF night? Haven't seen enough people online to have one of those for a while. Maybe I just don't have enough people added lol.
